24.01.2022 RAINBOW CHICKPEAS Made these today to use as a prop, but they're also great for sensory play and non-toxic too. Add .5 cup dried chickpeas to a zip lock bag. Add in a lid full of vinegar and swish around until all coated.... Add your dye to the bags to the desired coloured. About 15 drops per lot. Mix and swish until all coated. Pour onto a tray with baking paper and dry in the sun for approx 30min. Store in zip lock bag or container. I used 2 small bags which is 4 cups in total. Can be used with dried pastas too

18.01.2022 Took the Bear to the vet yesterday, he got excited and ran one way and my pinky went the other I struggle with him on a leash at anytime without his halti and in a flash my pinky bent to the side and I got it back in without thinking. Luckily no break, just torn ligaments and strapping for a few weeks. I never knew how much I relied on my pinky until now and its my left hand. Luckily I can still do work sorta

01.01.2022 The Faces of MFR It's been a while since I've shown my face and thought would say hi. Hi I'm Sarah, the owner of My Family Rulers and together with my hubby Matt we make and design all that we sell. Also our 3 kiddies ... From where I started 7 years ago, I never thought I would be where I am now. With only starting out with our hand drawn rulers and the house being my workshop, I now have my own shed at home with 2 CNC machines and a laser in hubby's with the hopes of getting UV printer soon also. It's been a wild ride and while I still worked 35hrs a week until Nov 2017 while running MFR, it has been a dream to have my own business. Being your own boss can be great because you can work the hours you want, take holidays whenever, but you also have to sacrifice family time to make it work. This is always a struggle especially when the kids are on holidays or even weekends sometimes. Thankfully they understand and know it's needed. I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to each and everyone one of you. If you can see this it means you follow MFR and just that support means more than anything. You may have been with us from the beginning or your just following now, either way I'm happy you're here Sarah xx
