25.01.2022 So many prams out today with MFC Travel change mats on board was really heart warming to see . Other customers just coming up to tell me they had no idea what to buy for a baby shower and had been told it the most practical gift I was given I am aware online shop has only 2 mats in stock !!!! 10.01.2022 Thought it was time to put a face to My Favourite Cousin for those who have not had the pleasure of being able to support the local markets that I attend .Thank you to those who have found me through social media across all states of Australia . It always amazes me despite being artisan markets and being told that everything is handmade by the stallholders so many still ask So do you actually make these Nappy change mats ? Yes I do , not only do I buy the fabric , cut the ...fabric , sew it , pack the car , set up my stall or photograph it , upload it to my website , wrap it but I also print all my own packaged labels and do all my own social media ( the last bit is more obvious ) Im a one woman band . On occasions I have roped one child into flipping and turning items inside out & has helped me on market day ( the other 2 have a great ability to look very busy or claim to be doing a school assignment which they know I will never interrupt ) & I may have taught my husband how to cut oilcloth but its amazing how many other jobs round the house become priority , so for the great majority of time its just me . Today Im having a cutting frenzy trying to get ahead as Ive just realised I have double markets for the next 2 weekends which means time to restock between weekends is reduced dramatically . Im also teaching 2 teenagers how to drive , trying to think up interesting family meals including vegan , vegetarian and meat options , and not so much housework but how to make less mess with my fabric in the communal living areas .I will make it but Im sure I will be sewing till midnight a few times this week . Im very proud of how my little business has grown and love it when you show off your change mats in your Prams to other potential customers who are visiting my stall for the first time .
