23.01.2022 The lovely people at Flowers for the Frontline graced us with flowers to say thank you for being on the front line everyday. The flowers definitely put a smile on all our staff and patients faces for the rest of the day.

Think of your brain like your muscles; if you don't use it, you lose it! There are plenty of fun and interesting ways to keep your brain active and training. Whatever activity you choose, make sure it is new and challenging to you! Learn a complex skill game like chess Read a new book Visit a place you've never been before Learn to play a musical instrument Try new foods Join an activity like sport or dance Try a new art or craft Learn a language Download a brain training app

17.01.2022 Jeans for Genes Day #jeansforgenesau Sadly, 1 in 20 children are born with a birth defect or genetic disease. Genetic diseases are caused by errors in our DNA, the instructions for making ‘us’. DNA is the source of information for all the cells in our body, telling them what to do every second of every day. When something goes wrong with those instructions, it means some part of our body doesn’t function properly, leading to a life-threatening genetic disease like cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, metabolic disorders or even cancer. The best way to treat or cure many of these conditions is to correct the problem at the source, to correct the DNA. That’s what gene therapy does. If you would like to help, you can donate online via this link: https://www.myjeansforgenes.org.au/6030415myhealth

14.01.2022 As we approach Spring and peak pollen season , conditions such as hay fever and asthma can be mistaken for COVID-19 symptoms. If you are unsure of your symptoms, consult with one of our GP's and get tested for COVID-19.

10.01.2022 #WeRememberThem In Flanders fields In Flanders fields the poppies blow... Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place: and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. John McCrae (18721918)
