25.01.2022 SWISH TECHNIQUE The Training Process continues... Test it - to make sure it works Try to bring back the original Trigger image. If it’s difficult to bring back or if the negative feeling is no longer evoked by it- you’re done. ... If it does come back, do another 2-4 Rounds, and test it again. If that doesn't work, find/create a more powerful Replacement image, and then run the whole Process from the beginning. If the Swish Technique doesn't work there is always a reason and an alternative technique tgat can be used. Reasons why it might not work Reason 1: Not enough Rounds/repetitions. Solution: Repeat for a few more Rounds Reason 2: The Replacement Though isn't powerful enough for this particular Trigger. Solution: Select a more powerful Replacement Thought and start from the beginning. Reason 3: The ‘negative’ thought is really a motivation to do something; to take practical action rather than think differently. Solution: Re-examine the issue and see if there is something you need to do about the situation. Reason 4: The matter is too complex or the strength of the emotion too strong. Like all NLP techniques, It's best ‘learned’/practiced in a live/ face to face coaching/mentoring session setting; where you are able to interact & experience it hands-on. EFT TAPPING SEQUENCE Begin by tapping on your left pac/chest, under collarbone, three fingers above nipple while simultaneously reciting the setup phrase chosen, Several times. Then, moving down the body in this ascending order; Tap each following point 3-7 times: Crown of the head Eyebrow Side of the eye Under the eye Under the nose Chin Beginning of the collarbone Under the arm Outer part of each finger Then, Create ‘circles’ or ‘roll’ your eyes clockwise & then counter clockwise, While humming the Happy birthday song Count to 10 And finish the sequence at the top of the head point & Start again While tapping the ascending points; Recite a reminder phrase to maintain focus on the problem Issue you wish to change. The wording is an essential part of the process because it focuses our system on the issue in hand Recite this phrase & words chosen at each tapping point. Repeat this sequence two or three times. . . . STEP FIVE TEST THE FINAL INTENSITY At the end of your sequence, Rate your intensity level on a scale from 0 to 10. 20.01.2022 HOW TO REFRAME In reframing YOU choose what an event means to you. When things go wrong you search for what is good about the situation & give that most attention. Choose where your focus is. We have the tendency to ‘fight’ realities, especially when plans change When something doesn’t go the way, we believe it’s supposed to, When something doesn’t happen exactly how, when & where WE wanted it to which then ignites tantrums, inner conflict, intense thoughts & emoti...ons Some examples: You're stuck in a traffic jam and are going to be late for an appointment. Instead of fuming & fretting about it Relax. Breath. Listen to the radio. Have a little dance. Sing along. Plan the course of the day. Mentally rehearse for a forthcoming event. Study the mannerisms of other drivers (if there are any ), Look at your surroundings. Watch the sky. You planned a day out in Natureand it's raining. Instead of feeling that you just cant get a break, Look for things to do at home that you wouldn't normally have time for; Like relaxing, doing some repairs, call friends, catch up on some reading or Dance in the Rain A relationship ends. You could feel sorry for yourself or angry with the other person. OR decide to use it as an opportunity to develop the most important relationship of all - your relationship with yourself. Use it as a fresh start, a new beginning; pamper/look after YOURSELF; Get healthy. Engage in activities that make you happy. Take up a sport and/or a hobby. Give attentions to things you’ve been putting off... Reframing helps us look at how we can use the situation, for what it is rather than be a victim of it! Draw your attention to the behavioural part you want to work on; The automatic response that inhibits or causes an uncomfortable feeling ... What would you like to stop doing? that you feel you are not capable of right now? STEP TWO Create a Rapport with that part inside of you Communicate with the "problematic" part. Clarify the higher purpose. The lesson. The gift. The positive intention; that specific part wants to give you. Is that part willing to communicate with you? What is that part of me trying to say? What does it want to draw your attention to? Deal with that part in you, with respect, appreciation & gratitude. . STEP THREE Create a "Dialogue" between the Creative part of you & the "Problematic" part. The Creative part; is the part of you that can Imagine & come up with ideas, options, solutions, offer tips & recommendations you can use. 09.01.2022 SWISH TECHNIQUE The Training Process PREPARATION: Connect to The Unwanted Thought & Triggers: this is the negative thought ... & The Unwanted feeling which it evokes Using all your senses; Experience the Trigger you chose to work on & wish to replace Experience it in present tense; as if it was happening right now. Describe in details the Trigger itself, what it feels like, looks like, how it sounds, as well as, its effects on you; what are you going through Once you’re finished, shake it off and proceed to the next step. REPLACEMENT THOUGHTS/EMOTIONS Think about How you WOULD LIKE to be thinking & feeling? Envision it. See it as a clear image. How does it Look? Sound? Feel? Smell? Taste? Describe in details the ‘image’ you’re seeing, your thoughts, emotions, feeling, sensations, Body, Posture, Verbal& Nonverbal Language, your energy & Vibe, Your actions & interactions To wire-in the new programme- The process will be done in 5-7 Rounds. Each round is done a bit quicker than previous one Until ALL you can see, feel, hear, taste, smell is ONLY the Replacement Image you created for/of yourself. ROUND 1 Think of the Trigger you chose to work on Then, using your imagination, place a tiny version of the ‘Replacement Thought/Emotion’ Image you created, somewhere on the Trigger image. A journey packed with experiences, challenges & learnings We can overcome anything, achieve anything we put our mind into,... The problem starts when we relive experiences, that we perceive as ‘negative’ Which brings us down, inhibits us, paralysis us, effects who & how we are here & now prevents us from living life to its fullest REFRAMING is a simple technique, yet so amazingly powerful. This beautiful technique enables us to deal with & feel better about unpleasant events. It gives us back the sense of ‘having control’ of our lives, more importantly, having a choice. It deepens the understanding that; We can decide HOW to be affected by events. That we don’t have to be a victim of circumstances! That we ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE & a Voice That we have the ability to shift our focus, & put more attention to one aspect of a situation than others. It's the art of choosing what to give greatest significance to in any situation. This technique offers an extremely liberating way of thinking; It's not the event itself that affects us emotionallyWhat affect us is our interpretation & perception, as well as, our response to an event. Reframing is the art of actively choosing our response. It means we do not engage in regretting, resenting or dwelling in the past, or in the negative’, unpleasant Realities but making the most, out of we what we’ve got. Why do you feel you have this problem? What are you scared of? How and Where does it limit you? What is the worst example you can give, related to this problem? How many times have you tried? How many times have you failed? Why did you fail? vs Questions PROMOTING SOLUTIONS/GOALS What do you want to achieve? WHY do you want to achieve this dream/goal? What will enable this goal to be achieved? How will you know you have achieved the goal? What will you see? feel? hear? & do? Why is this important to you? How will it affect & influence Others? How will achieving the goal affect other relationships in your life? Which needs does achieving this goal provide you with & others? 07.01.2022 FEAR. WORRY. STRESS. ANXIETY The Fear of Fear, probably causes more problems in our lives than fear itself. But it's not nearly as complicated as we think it is or make it to be.... Some of our fears, have survival value. Others, are learned reflexes that can be weakened or re-learned. We perceive Fear as a bad/negative emotion & thought. Worrying isn’t necessarily a bad thing. When used correctly it can lead to productive behaviour. EXCESSIVE worry, however, can cause significant distress & interfere with your productivity. Fear is crucial for our survival; It’s actually an extremely important feeling/thought to have Fear & Worry can act as our best of friends; ones that Provides us with strength & courage to deal with & overcome challenges, that empowers & enables us to create and manifest any dream, hope, goal we wish and desire. The problem starts when we become overwhelmed by these feeling & thoughts; When they become overpowering and inhibits & restricts us from living life to its fullest. When they make us feel that we’re have no control; that we’re helpless & hopeless. Worthless. When they become so overpowering, that we feel paralysed & stuck, doubtful, incapable & incompetent. Feeling Anxiety, Stress or disabled when we feel Worried or Afraid, is a natural Biological Reaction which regardless to the trigger itself, in its root, share pretty much the same set of Chemical & Neurological reactions. Fear, like all other Emotions, is basically Information. Stimuli. It offers Knowledge & a depend Understanding, should we choose to accept it and look at it in that manner. Show Gratitude & Appreciation to the resisting part of you, for you now understand the message & gift that part in you wanted to provide you with . STEP FIVE Check Are there other parts that oppose the options raised? More/Other parts that want their ‘voices’ to be heard? Other parts of you that wish to draw your attention to something you haven’t addressed yet? .... If there is - repeat steps 4,3 If not go to step 6 STEP SIX Future examination Activation of the newly selected behaviours, on upcoming events/situations; Using your imagination. If there are no further objections, Thank yourself for the wonderful gifts & the new possibilities of behaviours you came up with. Sign the agreement/contract you’ve written. From here on, ALL parts of you will work together; act in the chosen forms you’ve agreed upon. Make a commitment to yourself. & to creating the realities, you wish/want to experience. It’s not about giving up on behaviours, it’s about adding more possibilities how to use the same ones, in Ways that supports us, rather than break us, inhibit or paralyse us. Changes can be made on two levels (see previous posts) Change to context, meaning, or time & place... Example YO-YO DIET CYCLES When you’re hard with yourself Thinking I’m fat. Nothing fits me any more I gained 5 kilos. I need to lose weight and that's where all your focus is... I guarantee that A. you’ll feel horrible. sad/depressed & B. Not only will you NOT lose any weight; more than likely you'll gain more. For, this way of thinking & unbalanced state of mind, affects the chemistry in the brain & body,the digestion & metabolism therefore, making it very hard to reach your desired goal. Know YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. The number on the scale, a kilo more or less is not important. What is important is your Vitality, your Happiness, Health & Wellbeing, Your State of Mind Yet, if that’s your goal; Diet should be a Lifestyle, something you enjoy, that you can sustain, that's tailored & specified to/for YOU. Most of us have a laid-back attitude when it comes to ‘painting a picture’ about ourselves. Our subconscious & Mind are ‘fed’ with various contents & stimuli, experienced every second of our lives. Each Stimuli is then processed, Interpreted, Categorised and Stored in our Brain, Then, further develops into Neurological Roadmaps, which are connected to our emotions, thoughts, Attitude, Approach & Beliefs, that are executed through external expressions; Verbal Language & Non-Verbal language, Our Body & in our choice of actions & behaviours.
