22.01.2022 A little look at where I work and Ella plays Hands down the best thing we did last year was include a play wall for Ella in my study. Means I can sneak in some work while Ella plays independently and she still feels like I’m there, which helps me with the #mumguilt . . If you’re limited for space like us but want a play area in your home I’d say the must have items and things that have worked for us are1Good storage #trofast units from ikea are the best! 2 A play kit...chen for imaginative play 3 Toy rotation - we store things in our garage and swap over every few weeks. It’s honestly like Christmas for Ella every time we do a swap. 4Have an organised arts and craft cupboard (I’m going to get an art trolley next) 5 Use a soft playmat that can easily be wiped down after messy play 6 An area to display and celebrate your child’s creations! 7 A little reading nook to encourage reading and down time. . . 21.01.2022 Double tap if you were woken by at least one child last night? Ella is 3.5 years old and has finally got the hang of staying in her room all night until 6.30am (thanks to her groclock) So at least we are now only getting up for one child! . . 20.01.2022 Hands down the best $30 I have spent lately! We got the Rashult kitchen caddy yesterday from @ikea_australia and have turned it into a portable arts and craft station! So much more user friendly than our arts and craft cupboard as Ella can easily access all the things she wants. It makes packing up a lot easier too! If only we had this during lockdown Who’s got something similar or are going to give it a go?
20.01.2022 Got myself a clicker I know it needs a bit of work . . . Nothing like some new linen to change to feel of the room! I decided to go with a white quilt cover to make the wall pop and have added colour and texture with the cushions. ... . . 13.01.2022 When did your bubbas move from their bassinet to their cot? Charlie’s almost 4 months and I think he’s going to start rolling soon so that’s when we will move him why do they grow so fast! I think I’ll still keep this little nook in our room a little longer though because I love our bassinet and this is going to be our last baby. . . 13.01.2022 My new logo. What do you think? Double tap if you like it. Anyone wondering where my brand name ‘My Hidden Forest’ actually came from? When I started my biz I had the idea to create customised art and hide children’s name in the scene for them to find. Anyways that idea didn’t really eventuate but hey it was a nice idea maybe I’ll do it one day Anyways the name just sort of made sense to me. I guess it represents my mind being filled with creative ideas. A sort of what’s... hidden in my mind kind of thing I feel like the direction of my brand has changed a lot in the past 4 years and I wanted my branding to reflect this. I wanted something fun, fresh and playful in all my favourite colours. Thanks to the amazing team at @studionu_ for absolutely nailing it and bringing my vision to life. You guys have been an absolute pleasure to work with
13.01.2022 Need some ideas on how to make a gallery wall? Here’s 2 examples in my fave room by @woolandwillow . . Which do you prefer? 1 or SLIDE 2? Option 1 has a 50 x 70cm print and A4. Option 2 has 50 x 70cm, A3 and A4. I love them both
10.01.2022 Charlie Finn, 6 months ago we welcomed you into the world. You got to meet lots of our favourite people in the first 2 weeks of your life (except for your family in tassie ) then went into one of the harshest lockdown the world has seen for the next 5 months of your life. For you, this was actually great. It meant you got to spend so much time with daddy and your big sister, and got to have all your naps at home instead of being dragged around to play dates and kinder drop... offs. I think this is the reason your such a content little man. We love your little personality and you are definitely the most chilled person in our family. You love your sister more than anything and get so excited when she comes home from kinder. You love cuddles, have the best laugh, and playing with the wipes packet brings you so much joy I promise Santa’s is going to get you some more interesting toys for We are so grateful for you. Thanks for bringing so much happiness into such a crazy year for us . You, my little man, are our silver lining.

05.01.2022 Who likes the half wall paint look? Clearly I do because it’s in both my kids rooms now . . If you wanted to try something like this but don’t want to commit to painting I’ve just seen our friends over at @minnieandmeinteriors are releasing some half wall removeable decals you can use. Wish I knew about this before I started Kristy .... . What worked for me this time is only painting very carefully near the tape line, last time in Charlie’s room I put too much paint on the tape when I was cutting the paint in (is that the right term ) anyways the paint bleed through it looked so bad I ended up putting some timber railing on it to cover my dodgy paint job See more

04.01.2022 My quarantine game is getting strong these days I mean what’s the point when we are only allowed out 1 hour a day . . What’s the first thing you’re doing when this shit show is over? If your one of the lucky ones that is out of quarantine now what was the first thing you did? I need something to look forward to. I’m going straight to the hairdressers to get rid of all my grey hair, then going to visit all my family and friends who I miss so much oh and going to sit in a cafe by myself to enjoy a hot coffee.
04.01.2022 Where the hell did that 3 months go? When Charlie was born I thought I may has gotten a little look in but it seems I’m destined to have fair kids with blue eyes! Do your kids look like you or your partner? . . Thanks for making lockdown so much happier for us little man. You’re such a chilled baby and I actually think that has a lot to do with the fact you’ve been in lock down most of life . If you could just stop cat napping in the day and spewing on me that would be fab, thanks!
