Vehicles fitted with critical defective Takata airbag inflators ma...y be refused registration if the airbag is not replaced as part of a compulsory nationwide recall. Check if your vehicles is affected by the recall by visiting www.IsMyAirbagSafe.com.au or text the word ‘Takata to 0487 AIRBAG (0487 247 224) for further advice. Affected owners should have already received notification from their vehicle manufacturer that their vehicle is under active recall for urgent repair, as required by the compulsory recall notice administered by ACCC Product Safety. 15.01.2022 Service SA has now resumed Learner Theory Testing, with suitable COVID-19 safety provisions in place. All customers seeking to undertake a test must call 13 10 ...84 to make a booking. This includes testing in regional Customer Service Centres. There is expected to be significant demand for bookings. We thank you for your patience in getting through to make a booking. Please be aware that the limits on the number of test spots, and additional cleaning requirements of equipment and adjacent areas, will cause some delays. Walk-in tests will not be accepted at this time. Hazard Perception Tests and Boat Licence Testing remains suspended. The current exemption for Hazard Perception Testing remains in force, people can still get their licence if they meet all other conditions and only the Hazard Perception Test is outstanding. 14.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Service SA is currently closed. This affects all customer service centres and phone services. Additionally, Ridersafe is currentl...y not available, as well as the Department for Infrastructure and Transport’s motor vehicle inspection services. Service SA is endeavouring to contact affected customers with services booked and we thank customers for their patience. Online services remain available: www.service.sa.gov.au All of these services are expected to resume on Wednesday, 25 November, subject to any further announced restrictions.
