05.01.2022 Breaking news from the NDIS this afternoon ... The Minister for the NDIS and the NDIA have released more information about low cost assistive technology ... fin...ally! And it is good news. NDIS participants CAN use their NDIS funds to buy smart devices if: You need it for your supports like therapy or personal support during this period You have something in writing from the provider to confirm you need it It must be the "lowest specification" that will do the job You don't already have something that will do the job You don't already have something that has been funded by another system (such as education). This will be the policy for the next five months. Then it will be reviewed.
