07.01.2022 Atomic Habits Interested to know if anyone else has read Atomic Habits by James clear? This is my current read! I am only part way through, but finding the book engaging and highly relatable to many facets of life. Early in the book he compares tiny changes to compound interest. "Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. They seem to make little difference on any given day and yet the impact they deliver over months and years can be enormous ". He then goes on... to explain how goal setting can limit you as achieving a goal is only a momentary change and can cause a "yo-yo" effect, as many people revert to bad habits once their goal has been achieved. He explains that individuals should work on improving their "system" of habits , making small changes, which in the long run will be the building blocks for change. However, with this, you need to be patient. I am loving this read and have found aspects of this book applicable to my business, my teaching, my students, my family and relationships, my health and fitness goals and general day to day running of my home. Worth a read if you are looking for something!
