23.01.2022 Third times the charm ... especially for Katie and Daniel! This wedding was supposed to be in May, but was postponed to the Friday and then again when the lockdown hit but didn’t stick, it became a Sunday wedding! I’m so glad they pulled it all back together with some last minute changes to create an awesome day! I can only imagine the stress, the tears and frustrations leading up to yesterday, but celebrating with them and their family and friends all you felt was love and... a huge sense of relief as they finally said ‘I do’! 22.01.2022 Goodbye 2020! You where the year no one expected. A year of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, you taught us to remain flexible and to make the most of our moments when we could. You showed us that things don’t always go to plan but sometimes the changes we don’t plan for can be the best yet. You gave us strength, resilience and a new appreciation for the little things in life. ... You where a wild ride and I’m choosing to celebrate the good as we welcome 2021. 21.01.2022 My Sunday with this gorgeous family as we wait to welcome their new seat addition in the New Year. All going well (I’m keeping everything crossed) I’ll be there to capture this ones entrance to the world and I could not be more excited! I don’t get the opportunity to document many births with my commitments to weddings, but it just so happened that the stars aligned and I was available for this little ones due date. 21.01.2022 Last night was such a gorgeous evening and I was lucky enough to spend it with the Thompson crew, wrangling a two year old and a puppy for some very special family photos. This session was a gift for Carey from her children in celebration of a very special birthday earlier this year, and I may be a little bias but I honestly can’t think of a better gift than the gift of memories. 16.01.2022 If 2020 has taught me anything it’s that I need to spend more time with the people that I love and fill my days with something that I am truly passionate about. For the last few years I’ve balanced working, studying and building my business with being a mummy and having a shift working husband. It has been busy, chaotic and when the dust settled after our forced shutdown earlier this year I realised that being pulled in so many directions wasn’t good for anyone. ... Which is why I’m so excited to announce that from September 14th I’m going to be saying goodbye to my day job (which after almost 10years with the company is not an easy thing to do) and I’ll be working full time within My Little Light Photography! This means more midweek availability especially for those delicious in home sessions, more opportunities to learn and grow as an artist, plus more time to invest in myself and my family. Thank you to everyone that has supported me and trusted me to capture your special moments, it’s always a privilege. I could not do this without you and I’ve loved every minute of the stories and milestones that we have shared together. I can’t wait to document more love, laughter and light in 2020 and beyond! 11.01.2022 I’ve known these two cheeky boys since they where around 4months old, they where one of the first families that I photographed outside of my own, and now here they are ready to start school next year! I love to see families time and time again, watching and documenting their little people grow, developing those relationships so that they give me all of their personalities. 10.01.2022 This sneak peek took a little longer than usual, having the boys home hasn’t given me much editing time but also I just couldn’t make up my mind which images to share! Emma and Matt said their I do’s on Saturday and their wedding was truly unique and sentimental to them and their families. They has so many personal touches that made their day incredibly special. From their ceremony to afternoon tea and onto their reception at Comida Hahndorf it was simply beautiful. I hope ...you are enjoying your honeymoon and this little sneak peek .... 07.01.2022 Hi all, Happy Wednesday! I have a quick mini session update for you because dates for 2020 are in short supply! Currently I only have two Mini Sessions spots remaining, and these are my final dates for 2020, they are: 4:30pm on Monday 28th September - perfect for school holidays!... OR 6:30am on Sunday 6th December - don't let the early morning put you off, the light at that time of day is just beautiful and I can't be the only parent with 5am risers! Both sessions will take place at West Beach, pictured below, and my Mini Session package is only $199! If you'd like to snap up one of these last spots send me a message! 06.01.2022 My perfect Sunday was spent with Renee & Luke as they said their I do’s, celebrated their life and love with their family and friends at the beautiful Longview Vineyard. We weren’t sure we would be there yesterday, this year has certainly kept us all on our toes, but Renee & Luke held tight, kept planning and where rewarded with an amazing day. 01.01.2022 Have I mentioned how much I love in home sessions? Seeing kids in the place they feel most comfortable and content is always such a joy, there are plenty of laughs, play and I do try to encourage some quiet time just to get those cuddles. But I find if you really want to capture your little ones personalities then nothing beats an in home session. My session on Sunday with Emma and her family had it all and we took advantage of the warm weather with some well earned water pla...y!
