10.01.2022 Welcome to our new business. We are farmers and community members of Clunes, Victoria, Australia. A town built upon farming and then the discovery of gold. In fact the first place in Victoria to discover gold. The Fawcett Family were butchers in Smeaton and made their livelihood from supplying local miners with locally grown sheep and cattle. From their home in Smeaton the family gradually purchased land to fatten stock. Six generations later (...soon to be 7 ) that’s how t...he Fawcetts ended up at Mount Cameron. The Wrigley Family also span across 3 generations (...soon to be 4 ). Where Bob Wrigley purchased land at Tourello and Ascot after working in the Bank and being a shrewd investor. He and Mary then began a family of Wrigleys that are household names in the community today. Lachy (and now Molly) have been growing fat lambs and farming spuds for a number of years, all the while selling spuds on the side of the road. This is another exciting chapter in developing a new way to sell their produce directly to the community. Our Facebook platform will be the home of MyLocalFarmer.direct. Offering lambs 3 ways and spuds in 2, 5 or 10kg bags. The lambs are all processed at Hardwicks, Kyneton and delivered to Greenvale Quality Meats in Creswick. They hang for 7 days before they are beautifully prepared and packaged in cryovac wrapping to prolong life in the fridge or ready to be drafted straight into the freezer. Lambs can even be picked up directly from the store. The team @Greenvale Quality Meats are amazing to work with and nothing is too much trouble. We are planning to offer 5 full lambs a week and need orders in advance. This helps us plan contact-free delivery or a single destination pickup and ensure the best quality lamb for you and your family. Lamb is prepared so we can offer in three different sizes.
