22.01.2022 Taking care of your body not only helps you enjoy an active and fulfilling lifestyle but also helps to improve your mental health as well. Getting exercise and enough sleep has been shown to improve mood, decrease anxiety and improve cognition. Physical self care can include: Staying hydrated Eating a healthy and nutritious diet ... Trying a new workout Taking a bath Putting aside dedicated rest time Going for a walk in nature Attending regular medical check-ups Staying home when you are sick Getting plenty of sleep Maintaining good personal hygiene Putting on some music and dancing If you haven’t done anything active in a while, start slowly and concentrate on finding something you enjoy. But remember, physical self care isn’t all about being active, rest is just as important. What do you currently do for your physical self care?

15.01.2022 Its #WorldSuicidePreventionDay. Act to create a world where fewer people die by suicide. Raising awareness, increasing knowledge, debunking myths and stigma and reaching out to someone can all help. It doesnt have to be big actions, small things can be just as powerful. Take a moment to check in with yourself. Are you okay? Its always okay to reach out for support. You are not alone! ... 2020 has been a challenging year. Our connections are now more important than ever. It doesnt take much to generate a connection to someone - a smile, a few kind words or a familiar face at a regular event. All of these small actions make a big difference. A friendly smile can mean someone doesnt feel completely alone, and a conversation can save a life. Have you smiled at someone today? Did you take a minute to look around and see how those around you are doing? Have you reached out to ask "Are you OK?" or taken the time to listen to someone? #ruok #mentalhealth #suicideprevention
