24.01.2022 No Pub in Mylor? No Worries, Come to the Mylor Popup Pub Night!

24.01.2022 Wow the Pop-up Pub was a Real Winner! As you know we had the pop-up Pub event at the Mylor Hall last week. It was a roaring success with families with young ki...ds arriving as early as 5pm and people rocking up throughout the evening (and Rockin' to the sounds of the Bradburys) -we estimate that we had maybe 160 people attended at various times during the night - a real Community Event. This post has been delayed partly for the need for the organisers to get our breath back as we were literally running the whole night with the bar, food and organising. Two trips to the local grog shop were needed because otherwise we were going to run out of wine, Guinness and Pale Ales. A big thanks again to Mismatch Beer who donated their Session Ale which everyone thought was great. We also got quite a few new MCFC members and all members got discounts at the bar. We were so busy we didn't get to take photo's so if you did please send them as comments to this post Thanks to the hard working committee workers for making the night happen: June, Cathy, Eileen, Claire, Lauren, Elizabeth, John and Bob plus the various helpers. And a special thanks to Susanne Arbon who came to help for an hour and stayed for 3!! trooper!! See more

20.01.2022 The Mylor Citizens Friendship club (MCFC) invites you and your family to a community Christmas picnic on Sunday the 26th of November. This free event will be h...eld in the grounds of the Baptist Camp at 32 Wingrove Rd, Mylor, off Silver Lake rd, from 12 noon till late afternoon. A sausage sizzle followed by an icecream for desert will be provided or feel free to bring your own picnic lunch, drinks, picnic rug or chairs, hat etc. There will be light entertainment and a treasure hunt for the kids with plenty of space to run around in and play a hit of cricket or football. Come along to see what is available in our community on the display and meet the people who work and volunteer in the area. Isobel Redmond MP will perf...orm the launch at 1pm on Sunday, 31 July 2016 at the Mylor Cotton Memorial Hall. Doors will be open from noon to 3pm and a light lunch will be available. Tor...ch Light Procession, Petal, Tannus, Rufus & Jack in the Green - Giants of the Hills, Burning of the Wicker Man, Hedgemonkey Morris, English Music Session, Hot for Joe Morris, Preston's Traditional Punch & Judy, Fayre Guisers Mummers Players, Kacey Stephensen, Paul Reynolds and Spiral Dance. Druid's of Oz Gathering at 11 am with Bev Lane. Music Session will start off the Ale at 12 pm Morris Dancing and Beating of the Bounds, Punch n Judy from 1pm Procession to start at 6pm. Ritual and burning of the Wicker Man Evening Concert in the Hall at 7.30 with Paul Reynolds, Kacey Stephensen, The Fayre Guisers Mummers Players and Spiral Dance.
