19.01.2022 I was at a party around christmas when a friend asked me what I had watch during the year and what I rated highly. For the last 10 year I have had a Media Centre using a Mac Mini under my TV that is more flexible than using an AppleTv, faster and much more adaptable. It runs a FULL version of iTunes and iPhoto so I can play all of my music and if I want to show you my latest holiday snaps its already on the big screen. The movie/tv shows I own are ready to run and there is so much you can now play over the internet. The UDS media centre setup also uses uTrakt but you can run this without one, this software will catalogue all your movie and tv media. Features I like are "Add to Watch List", Rate and up and coming. Next time you see me ask me to show you

16.01.2022 High Sierra new hard drive format Your next update to 10.13 may not go as planned if your drive is full or fragmented, best do some cleaning before you take the jump. The new format will not fix hidden file damage, an ongoing issue for both mac and pc users, its what still makes computers do the most random damaging things. This was sorted out by Sun the makers of Java and it was call ZFS and Apple spent a good 3 years developing there own only to dump it because Sun was sold to Oracle who wanted royalties.

16.01.2022 Products With Unknown Release Dates * Low-cost iPad - Apple is developing a ninth-generation version of the low-cost iPad with a 10.2-inch display and a thinner build (6.3mm) that's similar to the now-discontinued third-generation iPad Air. * Mac mini - Apple is developing a high-end version of the Mac mini, which will feature additional ports and a more powerful Apple silicon chip. It will include an improved version of the M1 chip with a 10-core CPU that has eight high-per...formance cores and two energy-efficient cores, plus 16-core or 32-core GPU options. The Apple silicon chip will support up to 64GB RAM and four Thunderbolt ports. * Mac Pro - Apple is working on two versions of the Mac Pro, both of which feature a redesigned chassis that's smaller in size. The new Mac Pro models will feature high-end Apple silicon chip options with 20 or 40 computing cores, made up of 6 high-performance or 32 high-performance cores and four or eight high-efficiency cores. These upgraded chips are also expected to include 64 or 128 core GPUs. * Larger iMac - Apple is still developing a larger version of the iMac with more powerful Apple silicon chips, but paused work on the larger version to launch the 24-inch iMac model. 13.01.2022 Today we were able to rescue a customers MacBook after a faulty audio jack broke off in the audio port. Firmly jammed in, it was taken to a Genius Bar but after a quote for $900 the client did some ringing around and found us.

The screenshot above comes via an eagle-eyed developer, who's already upgraded his MobileMe account to the service and also happened to open its forebearer's preference pane on a machine running Tiger.
