22.01.2022 Today is the day that we celebrate the launch of the Pilot program at Northern Health. Thanks to Daniel Andrews for fulfilling his election promise to make this happen. We snuck the first baby in over the weekend and it was a fine moment after years of waiting. To share it with my daughter was a truly amazing moment in my midwifery career.

Feel free to email her yours if you feel it fits the brief. I'm looking for some stories to add to the new edition of Guide to Childbirth, specifically some that tell of births that weren't necessarily IDEAL (maybe intended to be without medical intervention, but intervention was needed). Was that hard to do? How did you manage? Were you ...able to without judging yourself? Did you learn anything new? Any stories of the unexpected or unwanted outcome, what helped & what didn't will be considered. These questions are just suggestions. 16.01.2022 Today we remember all babies born sleeping, or we've carried but never met, those we've held but couldn't take home, the ones that came home but didn't stay. Make this your profile status if u or someone u know has suffered the loss of a baby. The majority won't do it, because unlike cancer, miscarriage and still birth is still a taboo subject. Break the silence. In memory of all angels too perfect for earth and all those baby's i know that are born sleeping or not made it home
