24.01.2022 These photos just in from a Pigeon Trapping program in an aircraft hangar. Over 40 pigeons removed from an internal program over the past two weeks. Well done to the Melbourne based trappers.
24.01.2022 Bula from Fiji with our awesome team of resorts and properties from Denarau. Everyone is committed to reducing the scourge of mynas in Fiji.
22.01.2022 Now here is something that you don't see every day in a Myna Magnet. Can anyone guess what it is?
21.01.2022 Are you ready for this years backyard bird count? Expecting an increase in Indian mynas, decrease in native species and birds adapting to climate change. Interesting.
21.01.2022 Myna Magnet - our week in Fiji is just the beginning!
20.01.2022 Success on Denarau Island - first recorded catches on day one look promising. We are off to a good start. Let's hope it is a productive week.
20.01.2022 Same that Andrew Rule didn't acknowledge the true originators of the Indian myna trap - Dr Chris Tideman, Peter Green and Myna Magnet. BUT, any publicity to control mynas is good publicity. Great article.
19.01.2022 New site update for Myna Magnet now on-line. For the management of vertebrate pests such as Indian mynas, pigeons, starlings, foxes, feral cats and relocation of possums see www.mynamagnet.com
19.01.2022 Some common sense from RSPCA in regard to the trapping and correct handling of Indian mynas. At Myna Magnet we are happy to assist in the supply of traps as well as ethical and humane euthanasing options to remove mynas from our environment.
18.01.2022 Locating a Fox Magnet trap takes skill to "out fox a fox". Here the foot prints of the fox lead to the perfect trap location. Let's wait to see what happens!
17.01.2022 Myna Magnet presents our new additions for Spring - the Cat Magnet, Fox Magnet and Possum Magnet collapsible vertebrate pest traps.
17.01.2022 Back on Denarau Island as we move into a new phase for the Denarau Island Myna Trapping program. Night trap servicing is now to be undertaken by a local pest company. We are in Fiji to conduct training this week for a smooth handover of the project. I love the innovation of using palm fronds to keep the traps cooler.
16.01.2022 ANFD 2016 (Orange Field Day) Check out the latest collapsible vertebrate traps from Myna Magnet on the ACTA stand. Stand D24. Drop in for a chat.
15.01.2022 Pigeons are disease carrying pest birds, with over 80 impacting this Sydney apartment complex. The mess, smell and health hazard potential was significant. Thanks to the Pigeon Magnet, 52 have so far been removed and euthanised.
14.01.2022 Shame that Andrew Rule didn't acknowledge the true originators of the Indian myna trap - Dr Chris Tideman, Peter Green and Myna Magnet. BUT, any publicity to control mynas is good publicity. Great article.
14.01.2022 After a 6-8 week pre-feeding plan, day one of trapping has been successful. Still trap modifications to complete, but most of the resorts (those inspected before dark) have trapped mynas. Tomorrow is going to be a great day.
13.01.2022 The Fiji Sun newspaper have followed our project and we have made national news. We were bumped of the front page by royalty - the Olympic gold medalist the Fiji Ruby Sevens. I guess I can cope with that.
12.01.2022 Introducing MinkPolice, our new SIM card based trap alert system. Now, 24/7 cave trap monitoring is available. Simple ap, plug and play technology at your finger tips. Awesome legislative vertebrate pest monitoring compliance now available.
12.01.2022 Now there are even more reasons to remove Indian mynas from the Australian environment.
12.01.2022 Another satisfied Fox Magnet user. This fox was caught at a commercial free range chicken farm in an outer suburban area of Melbourne. What does the fox say.......
08.01.2022 Myna Magnet - Denarau Island project continues. We are back in Fiji ready to commence stage 2. Moving from pre-feeding to the trapping stage. Our traps live in some of the worlds most beautiful places. Seychelles project also underway.
08.01.2022 Trials of the Myna Magnet nest boxes traps progressing nicely. The trap simulates a nesting site, ensuring that mature (nesting male or female) birds are caught.
08.01.2022 I have been stalking this fox for 12 months. He bumped the trap and set it of first night, but it's taken a long time to get a second chance. He must have been hungry. The Fox Magnet is exactly that. Australian designed, professional grade collapsible trap.
08.01.2022 In the news .......... Melbourne councils using, loaning and recommending the Mini Myna Magnets
07.01.2022 This little guy joined me for my last meal in Fiji earlier in the week. I wonder if he will join the Denarau Island Myna Trapping Program as a....umm ...... Volunteer!
07.01.2022 The Denarau Island Myna Trapping program still going strong at the Westin and the Sheraton. All following the instruction of night operations. I'll be back in Fiji in February to reboot procedures for 2017. Bula and Merry Christmas.
06.01.2022 Myna Magnet is now based in Melbourne and is currently assisting several local councils. The original myna trap is still the best trap available on the Australian market.
05.01.2022 Meet our Myna Trapping teams from each resort on Denarau Island. This is an awesome team.
05.01.2022 Setting up Myna Magnet training in Fiji to reduce the scourge of this invasive pest - the Indian myna. The mynas (both Indian and Jungle mynas) were introduced into Fiji in the 1890's and early 20th century respectively. Both pest species are having a devastating effect on Fiji's beautiful native bird life and the tourism industry the country relies upon.
05.01.2022 Success stories from professionals and homeowners alike - Here is what our many clients have to say about Myna Magnet
05.01.2022 The Fiji Times have also followed our progress for myna (or Mynah) control on Denarau Island. Great coverage for an impressive project.
05.01.2022 The Fox Magnet Here is one for all the fox hunters in the group. Who said collapsible fox traps don't work? When it's an Australian designed Fox Magnet, they do. Just ask my mate here. For usage instructions see www.mynamagnet.com.au
04.01.2022 If you have a fox problem, consider a Fox Magnet. Interesting article regarding Melbourne's growing fox issue.
04.01.2022 Bula, Myna Magnets in paradise. Today marks the beginning of our assistance in Fiji
03.01.2022 The Fox Magnet with a new friend. Here the trap is camouflaged to resemble a fox den and the base is covered with soil. When placed next to a chicken coup (right) the fox will look for any opening to attack. Often they blunder into the trap and are caught. On uneven ground, the trap still works.
02.01.2022 Our new website is now open for business. Buy the Myna Magnet and accessories on-line for immediate delivery.
02.01.2022 Now THAT is a massive vertebrate pest trap. I saw this Wild Dog trap on a recent trip in outback North Queensland. I checked it the following morning but it remained empty. Check out the cow leg bone as bait, that's wild.
