24.01.2022 . New MedEx class exercise?! . Firstly, thanks to all those that joined in this morning for the first of the 3 live weekly meditations we’re doing as part of the On-line Membership...it was wonderful to see some familiar faces and also to meet some new crew! Big shoutout to all the international folks too. .... Secondly, we are recording some 5 minute meditations which will be a little bonus for members to use as necessary (just finished one for destressing and a one for relaxation) so if you have any ideas or suggestions on what you would like us to record, please comment or send a message. . Finally, when lockdown ends an we can open the doors, we will be running MedEx classes which is essentially an active meditation. I had to untangle the microphone cord and Shane thought it would make a good meditative exercise . I often discuss with clients the philosophy that we can’t change something whilst holding it at bay - wishing, hoping, praying that it wasn’t so.... . Hey guys, we sent out the newsletter last night to subscribers (check your junk folder!) with info about the online meditation membership, but here’s the nuts and bolts of it... . 6am online meditation class every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, all of which will be recorded and kept in a members page on the website for you to access and use whenever you like. .... This is for everyone, local or non local. . When lockdown ends, we will then open the doors and locals can come in person not only for the meditation, but MedEx classes, movie nights, monthly workshops and affiliate practitioner classes too. . 07.01.2022 . When times change, it’s important to change with them. . That’s why we’re opening a new door. .... In a new space. . For a new chapter. . We’ve listened to what people are struggling with and their cries for help. . We’ve heard that there’s not enough support, or that it’s hard to access financially or geographically. . So we’ve looked at this downtime as an opportunity to grow. . Starting next week, we’re launching an online meditation and mindfulness membership which will only be $15 per week. . The original plan was to do an in person membership in a new building we’ve leased, but with Victoria still in lockdown, we had to adjust. . And that was great, because it forced us to think differently. . To be solution oriented rather than problem oriented. . To be grateful for the opportunity we have rather than complaining about what we don’t have. . 04.01.2022 . Have I missed any?? . A fast way to feel better is to do an act of service - doing something for someone without wanting anything in return. .... Another way is to spend time in nature. . Another way is to accomplish a task. . Another way is to feed your soul with books and music. . Another way is to play with animals. . Another way is to meditate. . Another way is...I think you’re getting the point. . We’re seeing an decrease in general happiness because people are outsourcing what they believe to be menial chores (house cleaning, gardening, chopping wood, washing the dishes etc) because they don’t have time, or rather they’re spending their time working more to make money to buy things they don’t need. . These so called menial chores are actually forms of active meditation and really benefit our mental health and wellbeing because we feel grounded, a sense of accomplishment, our minds aren’t as active, we have reduced stress levels...you get the picture.
