You must have a car and license. Responsibilities... The Disability Support Worker role will support staff and people with a disability to have a good quality of life, with dignity, respect, and social inclusion. As a Support Worker, you will be required to travel to our Customer’s homes providing them with impressive and personalised support. The core duties are to provide the following assistance; Assistance with self-care activities (showering, dressing, grooming & toileting) Community, social & recreational activities Assistance with daily life Inhome domestic tasks Digital Support via Zoom or Skype when needed Ability to write reports and mapping clients developments as per their NDIS plans This position requires manual handling and is suitable for those who prefer a hands-on role. Skills and Experience: The successful candidate must: A caring and reliable attitude; have a current valid Victorian driver's licence have access to a car to transport clients with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance National and International police check (if applicable) Employee working with children check for Victoria Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate with CPR Smart Mobile Phone and Internet access and ability to effectively use a computer Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, Community Care or Nursing background, Advanced Diploma - Community Services - Disability or a bachelor’s degree in health science.
