22.01.2022 MyneSight held the grand opening of our NSW Wollongong office and underground training facility this week. Stretching over 100 square metres, the underground tr...aining facility provides people with no mining experience, or ‘cleanskins’, with an opportunity to learn operations and safety protocols within a realistic mining environment. To celebrate, guests were able to tour our underground mine environment first hand. Thank you to everyone who came out with a special thank you to the Mayor of Wollongong. We are looking forward to joining the Wollongong community.

16.01.2022 Wollongong is officially open! Local mine management, construction partners, Mines Rescue, contractors and suppliers joined representatives from Mastermyne Group companies, Mastermyne Mining, Wilson Mining and Mynesight to officially open the Underground Coal Mining simulation training centre. The controlled environment will be used to train the next generation of Illawarra's underground miners. The training is designed to make the transition to underground a little easier and a lot safer and launch the Cleanskins on their new career!

10.01.2022 Coming up to your mandatory 6 month Self-Escape Refresher? The Self-Escape Refresher training program refreshes persons in donning and changeover of self-rescue equipment CABA and rescuer, completed within our simulated underground training environment. This training is a legislative requirement for underground workers as per clause 100 of the NSW WHS (Mines) Regulation 2014, required to be refreshed every 6 months.

09.01.2022 In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) MyneSight will be converting a number of our training programs which are currently delivered via traditional face to face training methods, over into virtual classrooms, utilising live video streaming and other on-line distance learning formats as alternate delivery methods where a quality learning outcome can still be achieved. Please contact our office for further information on these programs.

08.01.2022 MyneSight’s simulated underground training facility recently hosted WorkPac to complete RIIUND207D - Conduct underground lifting operations. Trainers Tim Howard and Shane Hjaltason delivered the course and demonstrated safe lifting with a bolter and a flight that sits in the bottom of an AFC Pan at the longwall face. The practical training involved the use of chainblocks and weight appropriate slings. 01.01.2022 Last Wednesday, MyneSight received the delivery of an Eimco! Jeff Rapley was on site to unload it and move it to the front of the Wollongong training facility where it is turning heads as commuters cruise down Five Islands Road.
