24.01.2022 "The next two weeks is absolutely critical to the direction of this curve. Total social isolation, complete interpersonal distancing, combined with massively increased testing (which we have just built capacity for this week in our labs) will flatten this curve and save countless Australian lives. "

21.01.2022 Self-isolating isn't self-centred. It's about protecting the greater good.

20.01.2022 See all of the winners of the 2019 Australian Non-Toxic Awards on one page! There is now a great NEW summary page (link at the top of the page). It has been so frequently requested and I’m happy to say it’s up! This will give you much quicker access to all the winners and all the reviews. It’s a very comprehensive resource and makes choosing safe products so much easier. It’s never been more important to make sure that the products you buy are not only safe but socially responsible too. In a time where our leadership is so poor, we have to take the power back. As consumers, if we choose where we spend our money wisely, we can affect change on a large scale. https://mynontoxictribe.com.au/australian-non-toxic-award-w

17.01.2022 In Sydney where I live, there are fires within an hour's drive in all directions and smoke haze has become the new normal as has my and Bella’s ventolin use. The news is full of devastation and we are gripped with sadness at not only the loss of life, homes, animals and trees, but of the betrayal and lack of accountability or leadership of our government. Amidst the devastation, there is also a phoenix rising from the ashes. Gone are the feelings of those who thought cl...imate change was ‘not in my backyard.’ It is now in our backyards and we are having trouble breathing. It’s in all our faces and lungs every day and we are experiencing how frightening and urgent the climate emergency really is. We have no choice but to face the reality and act. Be angry. We have to rise up and join together and fight. We have no choice. With that rage burning inside me, I also feel hope. There is a mass movement building and change is coming. Donate to the RFS, Wires, Red cross, Salvos or other amazing front line charities if you can and do whatever you can to help those around you in need. : @greenpeaceap

16.01.2022 Please spend 2 minutes to sign this petition for the transparency of ingredients labelling in cleaning products. So important!

12.01.2022 It’s a crazy world out there. It’s overwhelming and terrifying. I am however very conscious of choosing my words when talking in front of my 4 year old daughter Isabella. I try to always talk in terms of action and tell her when she asks about something she’s heard about all the good things that are being done in the world too. That farmers are finding new ways of regenerating the land through regenerative agriculture, how girls around the world are getting the opportunity to... go to school when they didn’t before, of the huge seaweed farms that are getting made, how we get our electricity from the sun and wind now, of how people are choosing to use alternatives to plastic and how it is a time of energised amazing innovation. I need her to feel the hope and the excitement that massive change is afoot. We need to stay focused on the positives in this fight, to keep our energy for the marathon ahead. x

11.01.2022 One of the most powerful steps we can make today is to move our money from the hands of people who would use it to destroy our climate and put it into the hands of those who will take positive action. As long as your money stays where it is, you are effectively directly contributing to the problem. 1. Move your superannuation into a fund that won't invest in climate-damaging activities. 2. Move your money into a bank that doesn't lend to climate-damaging companies or industr...ies. 3. Switch your household electricity to a 100% renewable energy, carbon-neutral provider. Market forces.org.au is an amazing resource. If you're looking for a quick recommendation however, I'm with 1) Ethical Super 2) Bank Australia and 3) Powershop.

06.01.2022 It is more important than ever for us all to do what we can for our planet and its people. Social responsibility has to be at the forefront of our minds. Whilst this coronavirus might seem like just a flu for us young people, we have to take accountability that our personal actions impact society as a whole. If we can all do everything in our power to slow down and draw out the spread of this virus, we can keep our hospitals functioning properly. ... My thoughts and prayers are with those in Italy and I hope that we learn from it and heed their warnings, rather than follow in their footsteps.
