23.01.2022 Hi, My Name is Nellie. I am the creator and Myotherapist behind Myo to Movement. This is me pictured with my partner Daniel and my beautiful daughter Mila, who are also my support network and inspire me to continue helping others. Here is a little more about me.. From a young age I have always had an interest in the human body and its function when injured (I'm sure this came as a result of my many ankle sprains playing netball).I knew in high school that when I went to Uni I... wanted to study Sports Therapy, so I followed my dream and completed my studies with not only Sports Therapy but Myotherapy and Personal Training as well. Since then I have worked as a Sports Trainer at a couple of the local football clubs around Wangaratta and gained a wealth of knowledge around treating most sports related niggles and injuries. I have also started my own business Myo to Movement where I want to pass on my knowledge to people so they can not only prevent injury and imbalance but also have the tools to fix it themselves at home. I love the human body, it is constantly giving out new information about how it functions and how different parts are strangely connected, and this to me is just fascinating! A lot of my treatments are based around Trigger Point Release, I have found that this is the most effective way of treating most muscular issues that arise. If you would like to book a consult with me or have a question that needs answering please reach out to me via either phone or email.. 0481164432 or [email protected]. x

16.01.2022 Due to the recent restrictions from the government and also to protect the health and well being of my clients and my family I have made the tough decision to close up my business for all hands on treatments. However thanks to the new introduction of Telehealth to allied heath practitioners I am now offering this as a service to any existing clients who might be after advice or help with an exercise or rehab program or any flare ups they might have with pre existing conditions. For more info on this feel free to give me a call on 0481164432 otherwise I will be following this post over the next few days with another one explaining how Telehealth works. Stay safe everyone and I hope to be back treating in the very near future! X

14.01.2022 Welcome to our new C GRADE coach for 2020! Nellie Purches! See below for a bit more info on our newly appointed C Grade netball coach.... I'm returning to the... club to challenge myself as a coach and player. Since having my daughter (see in photo) this year I've come to realise life is short and I want to give myself the opportunity to once again play at the best level I can but also regain a really quality level of strength and fitness associated around netball and I know I'll get that at Maggie's. I have a few close friends that already play at Maggie's so I'm looking forward to playing alongside them, but also looking forward to gaining some coaching knowledge and experience from Lou. Since being asked to help coach a grade at Tarra this year I have really come to realise I have a passion for helping people improve their netball both with fitness and skill. I work in a job that involves helping people everyday so I guess it's just something that I love doing. My favourite food: I really go mad for a platter or some cob loaf. My favourite holiday destination to date would be Darwin.. mind you I'm yet to visit Canada so that could change! I look forward to seeing returning and new players to try outs starting Thursday 21st November at 6pm. Can’t wait for the 2020 season to get under way!!

This is your friendly reminder to take those rest days, your body will thank you for it! If you like to do something active every day, here are some lighter options for you to encourage your body to rest..... 30 mins of stretching meditation gardening take the family for a swim do a yoga class read a book outside in the fresh air I hope this helps x
