15.01.2022 We would like to introduce and welcome our new guest instructor Andrew Sears! Andrew has worked in the industry as a dancer/choreographer/teacher for ten years. Currently Andrew is on a break from the arts pursuing a new passion for teaching expression through movement. Credit highlights; "So you think you can dance" season 2 Australia, Jessica Mauboy, Deborah Cox and Israel the artist. ... Teaching highlights; Sydney dance company, Urban dance centre and traveling around Australia conducting a range of workshops. Andrews choreography is more often than not a fluid smooth style incorporating jazz, contemporary and hip hop with an urban base to it. He is strong on musicality and expressing an emotion or story through movement. Therefore each piece of music has its own creative process and individual narrative. While the aesthetics of movement is important, musicality and expression are the foundation of his teachings. We look forward to having Andrew teach some commercial urban in our Monday night Jazz classes. If you are interested in joining these classes (ages 12-Adult) please contact us.
