25.01.2022 Today we wrap up the week-long celebration of #NAIDOC2020. Our virtual trivia event received outstanding attendance from our people across the business with all taking the opportunity to build their knowledge of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Empowering our communities diverse in culture and background is important to create a rich and united nation. NAIDOC reminds us that our learnings and the relationships we develop are continuous with a community that #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC #NAIDOCWeek #MyPathway_ #Develop_Connect_Grow
23.01.2022 Today, May 26th, is National Sorry Day. National Sorry Day acknowledges and raises awareness of the history and continued effect of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from their families, communities and culture. We take this opportunity to reflect on past actions, the enduring strength of the survivors and their families and to explore our roles in the healing process for our people and nation.... We pay our respects to all Indigenous peoples on this important day. #MyPathway #DevelopConnectGrow
22.01.2022 Our safety systems specialist trainer Joseph Lui gave us his reason for working with My Pathway this week, identifying #culture as a foundation for the work we do to develop and grow communities. We would really like to hear your reasons too; Is there a specific reason you like to get involved in your community? Or a reason you support family and friends? A reason why do you take the time to better yourself? Or the reason you enjoy your job? Please leave a comment, or check o...ur #whatsyourReason page at https://mypathway.com.au/whats-your-reason/ for other ways to get involved. #MyPathway See more

11.01.2022 The role cleaning professionals play in the community is more evident than ever this year. These professionals ensure we have clean and safe workplaces, supermarkets, hospitals, public facilities, and transport and without them, we would not have been able to reduce case numbers as quickly or as effectively as has been achieved. My Pathway is honoured to have played a significant role in keeping communities across our footprint safe by leveraging the technology and people we have on board in My Pathway Facility Services. Today, on international thank your cleaner day, we want to extend thanks not only to our people but to all cleaning professionals across the world. #thankyourcleanerday #facilitiesmanagement #cleaningservices #thankyourcleaner #heroesofclean #MyPathwayFacilityServices #Develop_Connect_Grow #MyPathway_
10.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) ends today and we celebrated the theme of more than a word; reconciliation takes action with a Mabo Day BBQ at our Cook Street office in Cairns. Led by Director Kenny Bedford, the event featured a Welcome to Country from local Traditional Owner Henrietta Marrie, and speeches from Mer Elder Doug Passi and Torres Strait Islander Torres Webb. Our neighbours Blackwoods were on hand to man the BBQ. Mabo Day is a result of reconciliation in acti...on; a 10-year battle to overturn Australia’s terra nullius legal concept that failed to acknowledge the traditional land rights of Indigenous people. Our guest speakers talked about what that result means to them, and the need for a commitment to reconciliation moving forward. It was encouraging to see so many staff attend the event, and though NRW is ending, our commitment to reconciliation isn’t. We hope today’s event has inspired our community to be braver in their approach to reconciliation. #MyPathway #DevelopConnectGrow

03.01.2022 November 8th- November 15th marks NAIDOC Week this year. NAIDOC Week acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact, but that the first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples and this nation’s story began at the dawn of time. My Pathway hopes you are able to enjoy the week of celebration wherever you are able to find opportunities to do so. 03.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) begins today, and several of our staff in Cairns were at the inaugural launch breakfast this morning, which included a live stream from Queensland’s Parliament House. Today’s event was opened by our Director Kenny Bedford in his role as a Reconciliation Australia board member, commending the Cairns region for punching above its weight when it came to reconciliation activities and commitments. NRW’s theme is more than a word; reconciliati...on takes action, and after a year where COVID thwarted many events, we believe it’s now more important than ever to re-engage and reconnect with these important causes. There’s plenty more work to be done, and to find out how you can make reconciliation more than a word, Reconciliation Australia has released a list of 20 actions everyone can take in 2021 to challenge the status quo and move from safe to brave on issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples: https://nrw.reconciliation.org.au/actions-for.../ #MyPathway #DevelopConnectGrow
