Hospitals Hospitals are experiencing a much higher demand. Expect longer waits, delays / cancellations of elective procedures and the potential for patients to be discharged home earlier than usual. Those mostly impacted will be older people, people with a disability, people without family supports or people who may not be able to afford private services. 2. Aged Care Facilities Several are already on lock down which includes: restricting visitors, cancelling facility tours, restrictions on admitting respite (temporary care) residents except for in an emergency. 3. Home Care All of the above is in turn stretching home care both government funded and private home care. COVID-19 has also been the trigger for panic requests for home care with families confused on how to do it thanks to the governments 'My Aged Care'. What you can do: 1. Seek professional help 2. Arrange help early given all health and home care services are stretched with COVID-19 so expect longer than normal delays.
06.01.2022 We had a great time this morning presenting at the Akoonah Park Men's Shed in Beaconsfield. Our seminar explored the upcoming changes to the pension, top tips to maximise your entitlements, downsizing your home and concession cards.
