25.01.2022 We are currently looking at implementing an sms service reminder to go out to a few customers to remind them of their upcoming service. It will also be able to remind you to check out if you need treats from My Dogs Treats. that way Brooke can bring them along on the day of the service. There will only be two sms's sent out 6 days before your scheduled service so we won't start to spam you with heaps of texts. May i please have some volunteers from regular customers who would like this as an option so they remember when the service is and remember to order their monthly treats. Hopefully this will lead to us being able to supply subscription boxes of treats for your children.
25.01.2022 Should I Shave my Double Coated Dog??................ Its the time of year when all groomers start getting the phone calls and emails. "My dog is shedding so much, how much do you charge to shave her back to make her cooler. The answer is not that complicated, if your dog has a double coat and spends alot of time outdoors in the sun, it should not be shaved. If you have a dog that has a double coat, the coat is designed to insulate them against harsh weather. In the case i...n Australia more often than not its the harsh sun. Think of your dogs coat as Roof insulation. The lighter and fluffier it is, the better it insulates against the sun. If you take that away by shaving, your dog cannot regulate its own body temp correctly and may suffer from heat stroke and in severe cases death. The attached image is a thermal scan of a double coated breed dog and it shows the temp differences within the various lengths of his/her coat. So if the reason for you to think about shaving your double coated dog is to make it more comfortable, then think twice. If your reason is because they are losing so much hair it is driving you crazy, then your choice of dog breed was not the best. See more
25.01.2022 Boston and Maya hate waiting for 4 weeks between baths as Nahla across the road gets one every 2 weeks.
25.01.2022 Ok Gomez enjoy the pamper buddy
24.01.2022 Caesar's second hydrospa was way better. He greeted me with a tail wag and big sniff. Then kept getting in and out of the bath when drying him. Have to keep the door open whilst drying him because he is too big to stay in there. A big improvement. He'll be a good mate soon enough. 96kg of fluffy love. #teddybearsarereal
23.01.2022 Show us your moves give everyone a reason to smile!

21.01.2022 Dipper and Harper Girl go nuts when I turn up, Dipper has some trouble moving around but not when i get there, he carries on like a 3 year old until he gets what he wants, his blueberry facial. I think Harper Girl eggs him on a bit, but he does love a good face scrub.

19.01.2022 Today is a hard day as I had to say goodbye to Rylee. Unfortunate family circumstances has forced Rylees owners to have to relocate overseas soon. So the search was on to find Rylee a new home. Finally Rylee is starting her new adventure today and moving to The Somerset Region on acreage with an experienced Dane owner. Farewell Rylee, I will miss your goofiness and smile. So honoured to have been part of your life till now.
18.01.2022 It is with much sadness I say goodbye to my mate Tyson, who lost his battle today with an aggressive tumour that came up extremely quick.

16.01.2022 Why Tennis Balls are a no no. For dogs that want to continuously chew on a tennis ball, its because the balls furry surface collects dirt and sand and is too abrasive. This can cause abnormal tooth crown wear and pulp exposure. The image pictured here shows the damage to a dogs teeth that can occur when it is obsessed with tennis balls. The team at My Pet Services recommends non furry balls specifically designed for dogs.
16.01.2022 As we celebrated the glorious Anzac Spirit, remembering the Australian and New Zealand Corps Soldiers who fought and died for our countries. Over the centuries, mans best friend has assisted our soldiers in wars in the capacity of trackers, scent detectors for mines and explosives, guard dogs, companions and most importantly, to boost the morale of our troops. Dogs were often used to carry messages in battle through the trenches and from point A to Point B. Some messenger d...ogs also performed other communication tasks, such as pulling telephone lines from one location to another. In World War I, the Australian Military forces enlisted German Shepherds to watch over their valuable equipment. In Vietnam, our Australian Task Force had dogs as part of their combat tracking teams; they would search the thick and dense jungle to locate the enemy and were successful in saving the lives of their handlers and team mates. Canberras Australian War Memorial has catalogued numerous stories of our brave war dogs, along with many other records of animal acts of bravery. Please take some time to remember our 4 legged heroes also.
15.01.2022 Our Pawgust collection box (raising money for Guide Dogs Australia) will be in our mobile salon and at our market stall from now until the end of August, feel free to donate as you see fit, every little bit helps.

14.01.2022 The best day of the month for Shelby and Callipso is when I am coming to give them their a hydrospa.
14.01.2022 The best part of my job is taking the journey with all the dogs I get to look after, to watch them grow from puppies, gaining their trust and reaping the rewards by seeing them get excited when I arrive to pamper them. To be the first to look after them at the new home after being rescued is also a privilege for me.Sometimes a dog takes more time to let me in, to trust me and allow me to look after them as if they were my own. This is extremely gratifying and I believe I have... the best career ever. The other side of the coin is seeing them at their most vulnerable, suddenly a dog that is loverly and full of life takes a turn and goes downhill quite quickly. This is the hardest part of my job. Having to say goodbye to a mate who has made my life better by just being themselves and opening up to me and what I do. This is heartbreaking as I never know when I will get the call from a client letting me know that my mate has passed. I am human and even though I see this way more regularly than most people, it hits a raw nerve every time. I miss all the dogs that i have looked after. But I am grateful in the thought that their owners have chosen me to look after their precious ones. I look at this as a positive and try my best to be there for every client all the time when tragedy occurs. This is in honour of all the dogs I have looked after and have passed on. See more

12.01.2022 The first couple of times I gave Bosco and Dozer a hydrospa, Dozer was a cranky little bitch and wanted to rip me a new one, even through the muzzle. Fast forward 6 months and now she waits at the window for me to arrive and no muzzle required.

11.01.2022 Due to circumstances out of our control, our ability to supply flea and tick medication such as bravecto and nexgard is no longer viable for us to continue. We were able to offer them at great pricing but the delivery times were being extended so it was tying up our cashflow. If you were using this service from us I recommend looking for an online using an online supplier to assist.
