25.01.2022 What can I say except that I wouldn’t be here today without trust. At rock bottom, when all things fell away from me and I was left broken, I had lost trust in life, trust in people and my relationships. But the biggest casualty of broken trust with others is that we lose trust in ourselves. ... And if we don’t trust ourself, then how can we expect it from others. ‘I don’t trust those people who don’t trust themselves, but say I love you. ‘ - Maya Angelo In life many things will happen that will perhaps leave you broken. But we must not stay in our brokenness, we must open and BLOOM. Just as if a flower bud is to spend its life just as a bud then it’s only living half its life. Out of our brokenness we have to trust and allow ourselves to bloom again. The biggest thing that Yoga has taught me about life is that I must trust it. 24.01.2022 Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best thing that will ever happen to us - Nicole Reed. It’s our automatic ‘fight or flight’ response, which is great when we are in actual danger. 20.01.2022 We Got Time. The most memorable years of our lives are likely the years we were left broken and lost, had so much taken from our lives. When it all goes wrong; those are the biggest years of our lives. ... Why do we feel and remember those years so deeply? Perhaps because, those were the years that completely changed our lives. Reality is, life is unpredictable. We can’t even hold sands of time, let alone this vastness we call life. 2020 has broken many hearts, we’ve had great loss, it’s taken many lives. But at least we no longer mask reality, we talk openly about the real issues, it was time we gave attention to real-life. This will be a memorable year for a lot of wrong reasons, but like all other life-shattering experiences, this too will change the course of our lives. Remember nothing in life has any meaning except the meaning you give it - Tony Robbins. So make sure you recognise the #power you have to give meaning to this year, was it the year that was so wrong? 19.01.2022 Most of us, if we are blessed to live 50/70/100 years, most of our lives is spent in an illusion. We live in our heads - and the stories that consume our minds. So much time is spent in our mind and not in the experience of the world we reside it. ... We can have our whole lives pass us by and have never really lived our life. Diwali (festival of lights) is a celebration today, where light prevails darkness. And it’s a reminder for us all as we light our beautiful homes on the outside that we also light ourselves from the inside - that we conquer our dark spaces within us using our in-built light. This gentle yoga flow is a movement flow where we look at the physical places we have held our pains and traumas in the body. Focusing on the deeper layers of the body we learn the power to heal ourselves from within, using consciousness, what we call our ‘light’. When we are in balance we can have an experience of life greater than what we can even imagine. Let’s start from the 1st energy centre of the body (7 key energy centres). The #rootchakra is our fight or flight, primitive and animal like nature. We naturally need safety and security as human life, and for our basic needs to be met. ... Did you know that the experiences of your ancestors who may have lived wars, famine, global disease, trauma and many other great experiences are carried through to you? It influences how we as #humans see the world in our lives. Do you worry constantly? Have excessive negativity or cynicism? Anger or find yourself on constant survival mode? Here’s an #exercise to try for 5mins/ day for a week and see improvements in this base chakra. 1 Put your attention at the base of your spine. 2 Surround this area with red light. 3 See the light spinning counter clockwise (F) or clockwise (M) 4 Repeat the mantra: Lam Om Aim Hreem Shreem Sri Namaha Lam Remember, if you don’t change things, nothing will change for you. 03.01.2022 Dear future self, Sometimes I fail to appreciate how far you’ve come. Sometimes I think you haven’t yet done enough, become all that you could be, gotten to where you should have. Sometimes I fail to see the child that wished to be half of what you are today. I failed to see that you have become that and so much more.... I see how hard you try despite it getting tough and for that I am incredibly proud. I see how you are kind in times where perhaps it feels unwarranted, but remain true to your values, for that I am incredibly proud.
