24.01.2022 Annastacia Palaszczuk MP how do you sleep at night?? Imagine if you had a baby and he was taken from you and you couldn't see him, touch him for 2 weeks?? Do you realize how important skin to skin is for an infant??... You have most likely given this mother PSTD and Postnatal depression. We have No cases of COVID19 here. They are no risk to your Queenslanders. They would spend most of thier time by their son's bedside and only leave to sleep. They are not there for a holiday, mixing with your population and travelling from one town to the next. They wouldn't go out to bars or clubs. They wouldn't go shopping. They just want to hold thier newborn so he's not alone!! So much for Scotty's " We're all in this together"
24.01.2022 Annastacia Palaszczuk MP see this little body?? You shouldn't have been able to. He's here 9 weeks early. ... Unexpectedly, dramatically and emotionally. That thing on his face? It's a CPAP mask. It's keeping him alive. He can't breathe on his own. He's not supposed to be. He can only be on that mask for 3 days. Then he has to move. Where? 150kms away, Queensland. Why? Because he was born in a regional hospital. He's lucky that they are equipped to care for him that long. That big hand there?? That's his Daddy's hand. That's the best we can do to comfort him as his parents. Let him hear our voice, let him smell us, hold his hand. To let him know he's loved. Soon he will have his first feed. Through a tube. Mum's superpowered colostrum. There's nothing else like it. Formula can actually kill him at this point and donated milk isn't the same. Mum's body makes exactly what he needs by the feedback she gets from touching him, smelling him, kissing him. Mum's heartbeat can heal him. Keep him calm and strong to grow big. Kangaroo care/skin to skin is his best medicine. A life event like this leaves it scars. Without your help of separation. What if he takes a turn for the worst while hundreds of kilometers away?? We may have never met him. He would die alone. Never felt his parents cuddle. I didn't go shopping. I didn't go dine in clubs, pubs, bars or cafes. I didn't visit tourist attractions. I didn't use public transportation. I stayed by his side. All day. Every day. I slept in a motel across the road. Northern NSW has no cases. We are no threat to your beloved Queenslanders. 16.01.2022 Dare I speak the word..... CHRISTMAS orders!! With everything going on Christmas orders will close Wednesday 30th September!! That's just over 4 weeks away.... With that being said I still cannot guarantee your order will arrive before Christmas. So the earlier you order, the better your chances. Currently I am still waiting on some parts to arrive that were ordered back in early June, others are turning up on time. 15.01.2022 In a moment I was broken and put back together. The moment this tiny body was finally in my hands and against my skin. 3 days after he was born, 150kms away from where he was born. In another state.... If you are under 33 weeks pregnant right now and living in northern NSW my thoughts are with you. Because of Annastacia Palaszczuk MP you won't get this moment for at least 2 weeks. If you deliver prematurely, your baby will go to Gold Coast University Hospital, Mater Brisbane or Royal Brisbane Woman's Hospital. You, however, will need to quarantine for 2 weeks.
