15.01.2022 Fight Anxiety Fear with Faith Today's media is constantly spreading fear to avoid infections. Social distancing is NO 1 PRIORITY on everything we do. We constantly need to be mindful to be safe in everything we do. Normal tasks, like, those still going to work, going out for shopping, filling up with petrol, touching anything outside our environment, we have a need to disinfect ourself to keep safe.... Stressors can be healthy and help us make good choises in a fight and flight situations. It's a normal response. When our bodies perceives or experiance stress, our adrenal glands make and release hormones of cortisol into your bloodstream. Cortisol causes an increase in your heart rate and blood pressure. The long-term activation of the these stress hormones, can disrupt almost all your body's processes and puts us at risk of many health problems of Anxiety, Depression and other mental heath problems. This creates a huge mindset of fear that can dominate our thoughts and actions/ behaviours. You might not physically be gripped with fear right now , but subconsciously it is thete, everytime you watch the news or media about the virus. It has a direct Impact & outworking in our lives. Regardless if you are Christian or not, exposed to today's ongoing Stressors via TV, social media, it will spike high levels of adrenalin and cortazole in out system and ultimately contaminate our faith if we are not rooted and grownded in Gods Word. We need to remember if we get infected with Fear through these stressors it will ultimately diminishes your faith in the power of God's Word and what He is doing in our lives and in this world. Then it becomes a slippery sloap of loosing Hope that God protection is not real. What the bible says about faith . Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.
