25.01.2022 Stage 2 of works at my sister's place with the help of her hubby (actually I was the help). Designed the screen to give privacy from the street which will be planted up with grevilleas to attract the birds and bees. They have a pair of resident Tawny Frogmouths that regularly visit the tree to the left of the screen so that tree was protected. They had planned to remove the hills hoist but I suggested leaving it and making it a feature by removing the cables, opening it out, painting it black and stringing it with solar fairy lights. My sister and husband are very much into recycling and caring for the environment so upcycling the hills hoist was a winner in their eyes. Reducing landfill is also important to us. Stage 3 to be advised

25.01.2022 Happy chickens A new chicken coop build for clients using some recycled hardwood fence palings for the walls. The boundary floor sleepers have a concrete bed underneath them to prevent predators digging their way in and it's also at a comfortable walk-in height

23.01.2022 Revamped a tired front entry staircase to complement the beautiful timber doors and the newly installed timber skirting.

23.01.2022 Finally got this big job finished. Had a few tweaks and changes to suit the client's requests and has come up a treat. Thanks Troy for your help on this one (I know you always enjoy a good timber job)

23.01.2022 Want to reduce the heat in your garage and the room above?? Thermal insulation panels cut to size and installed in the door cavities. My client also asked to install the thermal sheet over them. WOW what a difference in heat reduction inside.

22.01.2022 This was a great job to close out 2019; just before my surgery. Client wanted to renovate this 2-storey Queenslander to build in an empty underneath space to create a one-bedroom, self contained living space. This included a laundry accessible for both existing upstairs and new downstairs space. Project involved removal of majority of exterior and interior walls, some concrete removal, relocating facilities to accommodate the floor plan and presented a lot of challenges along... the way but I enjoyed creating this new space from scratch for my now happy client. Thank you to all those who helped, especially Jackson Walker, now known as the "no-more gaps king" Plumbing works supplied by Jacob Grace Plumbing Services. Electrical works supplied by Matt Langdon Electrical. Concrete supplied by Mick from Mickim Constructions. Timber supplied by John from Irish Timber Traders. Plastering works supplied by The Two Troys Note: I've placed the finished photos up first but just scroll through to see the progress from the bare shell...

21.01.2022 Helped the brother-in-law out today at his mother's house. Replaced the 20 year old balustrade with new - painting to be finished by brother-in-law & others Installed new privacy screens for the bedrooms. A big thanks to Rob, Austen, Bailey and Jackson for a big effort in getting this done in one day. Good job boys! Sorry if the orders were a bit sharp! Hope your mum/grandma enjoys the new verandah

19.01.2022 Firstly I'd just like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Xmas. As most of you may know I have been out of action for the past few months following my accident. I have decided to return to full time work (against my physio's advice) so I will be available over the Xmas/New Year break (public holidays excluded) should anyone require quotes/work. Hope you all have an enjoyable break if you're having one. Feel free to share my flyer for anyone else looking to complete some projects over the break. Cheers

17.01.2022 Here is a little personal project! Bought this 1930s dining table from Marketplace and gave it a new life which will now be a lovely addition to our home. The oak top was dry and splitting so I took it apart, reglued the boards, gave it a good sanding and a few coats of Danish Oil to rehydrate it. Looks amazing now. The base Vicki wanted to paint Emerald green. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Just need to find some dining chairs now.

16.01.2022 I haven't posted in a while due to being laid up with an injury. Some of you may already know but for those who don't, 7 weeks ago I fell 3 metres off the roof of our home on a rainy day and hit paving. I dislocated my right shoulder, fractured my humerus in that shoulder, 10 stitches above my right eye and numerous cuts, bruises and swelling. Actually very lucky to have not sustained more serious injuries. It's been a slow recovery, only just now beginning to drive again and... undergoing physio. Still in severe pain but having to push forward and doing some jobs with the help of my brother-in-law who is doing all the physical stuff, with me supervising and using my left arm. It's been a very stressful time for my wife and I and something I hope to fully recover from. So, I thought it might be a good opportunity to remind everyone to please be extra careful when climbing ladders for any reason but especially on the roof, whether it be cleaning gutters ready for storm season or stringing those Xmas lights. It happens in a split second and all of a sudden you're on the ground in a world of pain. I am available for any future work you may have and look forward to continuing being able to provide my services. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy Xmas and hope everyone has a great 2019. I know I do!! Myrenomate Repair Rejuvenate Rebuild Cheers Craig and Vicki.

16.01.2022 Stage one of fence job completed. New clothesline also installed. Awaiting driveway and carport to be constructed so I can install fence and gates.

14.01.2022 I’ve decided to start making fire pits that can come with a durable table top/cover for summer use. If you’re interested just contact me and I can do up a custom design for you. Cheers Craig

14.01.2022 Just updating some jobs completed before lockdown. This is my sister's place. This area at the back of their house had 3 attempts at lawn over time but never successful so it was time to make it a more useful space to entertain. Gardens yet to be planted up and astro turf laid in remaining space to avoid the previous struggle of lawn. Much more practical now

13.01.2022 This timber screen was added to better define the side path entrance, hide the water tank somewhat and included a set of gates to the right for storing of palm fronds regularly removed. This screen was an extension of the timber screen along the base of the house that replaced an old green picket skirting. Instantly modernises the curb appeal.

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone Happy new year! I will be updating my 2019 work photos shortly. In the meantime, if you're wanting to undertake a project yourself but not sure where to begin or what the process is then allow me to assist you by offering my experience in renovating for a small fee. Depending on how much help you need this is a good way to save yourself some money and still get the job done correctly. I will also be adding other businesses' names on my site as my preferred suppliers and contractors. Have a great 2020. Perfect vision

12.01.2022 The brief for this project was to remove an old tin garden shed and build a new one from scratch to house their chickens as they had to be moved from their previous coop as the area is being developed and refenced. It was designed to house the chickens in comfort but in the future could easily convert to a secure garden shed. I believe the chickens are very happy in their new digs and the shed is a great new addition to a lovely back garden. Thanks to Jackson and Troy for the help on this one

07.01.2022 Still off work recovering from shoulder surgery but with help from my nephew Jackson (PT/Apprentice Chippie) we finished off this little deck project using 130 yr old timbers salvaged from demolition of a carport for a client around 6 yrs ago. Finally found a use for them These boards still had handmade square head nails which were used at the time. Given a good sand to bring out the colour and then oil, I think they look amazing! Next stage is to enclose 3 sides, roof it, add bench seat with storage, a chandelier and a large porthole on one side with coloured perspex and this will be what Vicki calls a little Teahouse. The idea is to block out the houses across the street and give us more privacy in our courtyard and on our porch.

05.01.2022 With this project I was asked to convert an unused area under the client's house which contained a storage room/laundry into an open bedroom, extended laundry and a shower to allow their maturing children to have their own space downstairs. Thanks to Jacob Grace Plumbing Services, Austen from Real Air, Matt Langdon (electrician) and Troy for the frameworks and plastering.

05.01.2022 Following from my shoulder surgery back in January, I am now able to get back into the business of renovating (with a little extra help). If you have a project you'd like a start on please let me know or if you know of someone who does, feel free to share this flyer with them. As noted in the flyer attached, I service the greater Brisbane region encompassing Gold Coast, Ipswich and Sunshine Coast. Cheers

04.01.2022 I would very much appreciate if my friends/clients could share my flyer for my business because I'm in a bit of a lull at the moment and could really do with some work. Thank you

03.01.2022 Updating a traditional 1980s colonial federation green skirting pickets to horizontal kwila slats which instantly transforms the frontage of this property to a more modern appearance.

01.01.2022 Before xmas, Troy and I did this modwood deck and screen using galvanised steel post and joists supplied by the client. Notice the curved joist at the right! Great job Troy and thanks for your help, especially since I only could use one hand.
