17.01.2022 Yesterday our Myrrhee School junior students were to travel to Wangaratta to watch a performance of The Gruffalo's Child. Due to their cancelled excursion, our senior students put on their own performance for our little ones - The Gruffalo's Children. Based in our school bushland, our senior students created their sets, rehearsed lines, facepainted characters and performed all in a single day. Our juniors followed the path through the bush while our narrators told the wonderful story.

14.01.2022 Over the last few months our Myrrhee students have been taking part in sessions with Beata from Breath Circle. B has been teaching mindful breathing and also guides students to connect to and experience the power of breath. Our breath becomes a tool for self-regulation, resilience and empowerment. Thankyou B! 13.01.2022 Myrrhee School students enjoyed an Australiana themed painting class today, with our art teacher Sandra Moore. Students chose an Australian animal and used both texture and blending colours in their image.
13.01.2022 It's hard to believe it now, but last week our whole school stayed at 15 Mile Creek Camp Outdoor School. The timing was impeccable! Extra precautions were taken such as temperature checks and frequent hand-washing. It was a very special time for our students to spend together, connect with nature and challenge themselves. A big thank you to the AMAZING staff at 15 Mile Creek Outdoor School.

08.01.2022 We continued with our painting and Australian theme today. Students focused on using paint for texture with Trevor Brown, their artist for inspiration. They did a fantastic job. Will's work was inspirational! The younger children worked on stencils and Australian theme paintings -animals. Their work is wonderful.
05.01.2022 'Christmas is in the heart Pig, in the heart!'. We are so proud of our students who presented their Christmas play and songs with 'Applesauce and the Christmas Miracle' on Monday night. The play was adapted from beautiful book by Glenda Millard. Our students all did such a brilliant job and we thank all parents, families and friends who attended. Families kindly donated wrapped presents and items under the Christmas tree to support local 'Loaves and Fishes Christians Caring'.... These gifts will be passed on to people in need during Christmas. Presentations were also made to our graduating students Oscar, Melina and Christian.
