25.01.2022 HORSE RINGMASTER NEEDED! Myrtleford Show Society needs a new assistant Ring Master for the horse section at the 72nd annual show in October! After many successful years Rosemary Garoni the current ringmaster is about to hang up the reigns! Working together this year with the intention of taking over next year.... 24.01.2022 Ever fancied your chances at shearing? Well kids now is your chance..we will be having shearing competitions at the Animal Nursery. Thanks to Jillian and the Mens Shed we have a flock of sheep to shear - everyone a winner. Bo-peeps looking very sheepish amongst the flock this morning!!

There ...were wood-chop and showjumping competitions, #CityofWangarattaPipeBand and wonderful catering in the lunch pavilion. 19.01.2022 Hello viewers! Last night's Committee meeting was very productive and quite exciting. This year's Show will be BRILLIANT with lots of new events taking place in addition to the old favourites. Membership Tickets are about to be printed so get in early, secure a Family Show entry pass for just $20 (2A+2C u/16) SAVE $10. Your Membership also entitles you to attend meetings,have a say and be able to vote. Committee meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month 7.30pm. ... *****NEW ***** ****Activities meetings******** held fortnightly on Wednesdays at 7pm. One new activity on the list - GUMBOOT THROWING!!! There's also a Learner Driver obstacle course, possibly a climbing wall. Next Activities meeting is May 17th. See you there! See more

19.01.2022 Sorry not to have posted anything for a while, but we have been busy getting the schedule for this year up to date. We hope to have it published by the end of the month. What a great autumn we had - I hope you have all been busy bottling, jam making and preserving all that lovely fruit and veg. ready to enter in the show on October 27th. With the cold days settling in I just know all those crafty ladies will be busy creating beautiful items to enter in the craft and needlework sections. Keep warm!

19.01.2022 HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Several voting slips for the Viewers Choice were discovered during the unpacking of the Show boxes!!!! Many voters couldn't see the tall votin...g tube and placed them in another tub on the table. So the 6th and absolutely FINAL count has made Allan Ames the ultimate winner as chosen by the viewers for his painting "Many Memories" CONGRATULATIONS Allan. Commiserations Anne (who is happy to be bridesmaid again) Because of the kerfuffle this year and the controversy last year there will not be a Viewers Choice prize in the future (unless someone else wants to organise and oversee it) Thanks for all the messages for my SECOND place painting.
