25.01.2022 Condamine River Road Open Emergent works on Condamine River Road to make the road safe following recent flood damage have now been completed and the road is open. Council thanks the community for its patience through this process and will continue to provide updates on the long term options for the crossings and the Gorge.... Remember if it’s flooded, forget it! Cambanoora Gorge is a natural treasure, home to vulnerable species and cultural heritage sites along the 14 River Crossings. This area and the public road is a delicate part of the ecosystem, so please treat the area with respect. #MySDRC

02.01.2022 It’s National Recycling Week! Does it matter if I put the wrong things in the recycling bin? Let’s Sort it Out! Anything placed in your household recycling bin is transported to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Materials are then sorted by MRF workers and machines ready for reprocessing. Placing the wrong items in your recycling bin can harm MRF workers, ruin your neighbour’s hard work, result in valuable recyclables being lost to landfill and increase costs of processing recycling. Refresh your knowledge on what can and cannot go in the yellow-lidded recycling bin here: https://www.sdrc.qld.gov.au//resident/what-goes-in-my-bins. Let’s Sort it Out Southern Downs!
