24.01.2022 I absolutely love this idea from Sharon #moosereused . In class she was making a fabric protecter with dignity. So when someone is elderly or unwell and have difficulty when eating, messing up their cloaths. They slip on this shirt with the sides and lower back removed. They will look just like everyone else, instead of feeling demoralised with an adult bib. I think its such a kind idea. 24.01.2022 Jennifer and Toireasa both decided to make the same playsuit, in class. How comfy do they look and so pretty too. Jennifer used linen/cotton fabric and Toreasa used a cotton double gauze. This one was a border print, and she chose a Vogue Pattern, which we had to adjust to get the fit correct as Belinda has a small and sway back. 19.01.2022 So so pretty, love this Dress, Renee has used soft cotton lycra from Missy Rose, which is just perfect for the Boo Design Pattern. Then Renee added her own lined flutter sleeve and finished off the neckline so beautifully with her coverstich on her Juki. Well done Renee looks awesome, your friend is going to love wearing it. This time I helped her to extend the tail, modified the wings and created her own crest. She loves sewing in detail, and has fun changing the thread colours to add texture. The fabric is lovely And really added to the design, but did come with some challanges because of the check, for matching, the slub for buttonhole placement and crinkle, for pressing seams. 04.01.2022 Fabric weights are so handy, As many of you know I use large washers from Bunnings and paint them. Cath one of my students has been very clever and creative when she couldnt get the super large ones I use, she bought two still large ones and stuck them together she then made fabric covers, so cute.
