24.01.2022 I used to cringe at the expression 'Friyay!' but recently i'm really feeling it I'm having a low key day today following a chemo treatment yesterday (the 5th out of 6, so only one more to go this cycle, another reason for that Friyay vibe). Lots of gardening and pottering around the home for me today. 14.01.2022 Hey beautiful people Health update for those of you who have been following my breast cancer journey. I had surgery (lumpectomy) on Thursday to remove breast tissue and 1 lymph node, the node that cancer would travel to if it was left untreated. It all went really well and I've been chilling these last few days, taking it easy. Bit bruised and sore but I reckon I'll be back to work tomorrow. I will just need some help lifting things for a few weeks. I'm hoping for no evid...ence of the big C in the boobie or in the node, which will mean that the chemo has smashed all the bad cells and i don't need more. If there are any nasty cells still remaining, I'll have more chemo but it won't be as full-on as the last lot. It will be very targetted. It's time to wait and see and hope for the best.
