24.01.2022 Gday mysterious folks, I took some time away from the paranormal for personal reasons, now I'm back n with a new view of this page. I've decided NOT to do paid tours but that's not to say I won't do the odd tour down the line n when I do it will be a free tour. I've decided to turn this page into a collection of tales of the mysterious, images n video clips. I am seeking more info on places dedicated to this fantastic city n I would love to hear your experiences or re-heard ...stories on any subject matter of the paranormal. Also I am in the process of creating a new paranormal team, looking for anyone that has an interest in a particular part of 'all' manner of the paranormal. From investigators to researchers...I will put up an ad soon. I'm truly sorry I've neglected this page for such a long spell...but I'm back with a new outlook n deeper passion for this fascinating subject. See more
23.01.2022 The Duck Reach Power Station... Built in 1895 and closed in 1955 Launceston was the first city in Australia to have electricity. In 1929 floods destroyed the interior of this structure and two workers sadly drowned. The ghost of Duck Reach is not a common sighting, though a few sightings happened after 1929, it was during the 1980s when sightings grew and then as quickly dropped off by the 1990s.... Those who ventured up here at night might have got a shock, as the sighting of a man in old overalls, sitting on a log and just looking at the flowing water, if blink or turn gaze for just a second, the man would simply vanish into the dark of night. This wouldn't cause many to flee, it would leave them puzzled into where the man had gone. It's been several decades since last sighting but this doesn't mean the ghost has gone, he still could be about? Though when one is there alone, you can feel the past, nothing else ghostly has happened in activity wise but location does have a different feeling as you are walking to the power station. Must make mention from incidents I've heard, is this ghost is a residual type and never interacts with the living...a very harmless ghost... A must visit place! See more
22.01.2022 Many may not know but this little cottage was once a place of eerie happenings and a frightening appearance of a male apparition!!!

17.01.2022 Gday mysterious folks, it's been a while since I've been on here and that's due to business being slow and getting to that cold tassie winter, so the past month I have been putting my effort into doing a mysterious launceston book (for download) and I am covering every single piece of strangeness this city has from ghosts, UFO sighting, you name it it's going in there... plenty of photos of the locations and paranormal images and personal experiences...I'm making this a complete package of this awesome n mysterious city :) Though I would be interested if anyone thinks adding a section for locals to tell their experiences within known locations is a workable idea?
17.01.2022 Since winter is here, it's a good time to explore some of Launceston's haunted spots...so next foggy night one should venture to Dicky White's Lane and you could experience one of this city's friendliest ghost...Dicky White himself. On foggy night's is when he may appear, at first you will hear in the fog, the tapping of a cane, then a figure will appear dressed in a long coat and top hat, as the figure passes, he will tip his hat in acknowledgment and vanish in the fog, if try to follow you will find no one dressed in colonial clothing around. The last sighting I've heard was in the early 1980s, has any locals experienced this amazing encounter?
16.01.2022 After 3 decades of researching/investigating this city, I thought I had found all ghost stories this city has to offer, well I stumbled on a new one... Has anyone seen the black figure that seems to float along Johnstons Rd in St. Leonard's? Would be interesting to know if anyone has?
10.01.2022 Does anyone know who owns the now unused Waverley Woollen Mills?
10.01.2022 How to find the Para-Portal in Launceston...
07.01.2022 The historical info is small and there is a plague with info on it out front of the cottage stairs...this is the Cataract Cottage... Built in 1890 and became abandoned in 1981. During a horticulture course in 1989 (in which two weeks spent at the gorge) we were shown around to where we will be spending time pulling out weeds, one area was near the cottage. The Gorge grounds keeper, took us into the cottage, it was inside he mentioned it had a haunted history. A local artist i...n 1985 rent cottage and for the first few months, nothing out of the ordinary happened, then gradually the artist noticed weird things...sudden cold spots, strange gusts of air, items would go missing and then reappear in another spot, the artist also soon noticed that shadows would seem to move out of the corner of her eye. Then the activity start to grow with hearing voices but mainly her name being called in the dead of night, then only 6 months of being there, the artist left but not before explaining why... One night while working on a painting, the artist looked up to see a man standing at window in other room through the doorway...intententlly looking at her, before the woman could speak, the man rushed at her before disappearing, leaving the cottage with a terrifying feeling, the artist fled and returned next day to get her belongings but the cottage had a cold unwelcome feeling still. From what I've heard this has been only sighting of the ghostly man (who could be one of the cottage caretakers?) The cottage has been rented out a few time and no one has reported any activity...maybe the ghost has gone dormant? Or maybe sightings are too terrifying to mention in case of ridicule? Next time walking past, take a moment to stop and look at the windows...someone maybe watching? See more
06.01.2022 Good morning mysterious folks... Some places in and around launceston doesn't have to be haunted or have a rich history in strange happenings, some places look and feel haunted due to the way we view them, for example has anyone driven between White Hill, Evandale and Relbia... as one drives along the very narrow road's, with high hedges n open hill fields it feels like you are driving somewhere on the back roads of England, it doesn't feel like a Tasmanian road... this to me gives it a strange feeling as for a brief drive you don't feel your in Tasmania, even though you are and only minutes away from Launceston, is it only me who feels this? So next time you do drive in this area, just for a moment view it as an English road... you may get that feeling I get?
05.01.2022 Gday mysterious folks... it's been a quiet few months but that soon could change, new developments in the works and if happen... Mysterious Launceston will have some new events and locations which will be visited in a tour bus... keep watching this space folks!!!
05.01.2022 Has anyone had any strange experiences on Opussum rd in Kings Meadows? In 1989 a couple mates and I did, it would be interesting to know if you had same experience!
05.01.2022 Good morning Mysterious Folks! 04.01.2022 Gday mysterious folks! This is old Vermont road in Ravenswood, from the early 1980s to late 1990s, a male figure in white has been seen on this old road... The figure was mainly spotted near the church and certain parts of the road... I know of 2 personal encounters and a handful of possibilities but I would love to hear more experiences on this ghostly road!!!
02.01.2022 Gday folks... don't you think this building would make a great location to have a Halloween haunted house in? What are you're thoughts folks, something interesting for Launceston?
02.01.2022 The Albert Hall... is it visited by an apparition of a woman from the early 1900's?
