25.01.2022 COVID is ebbing and flowing, while Trump is doing his thing (no comment required) and the Qld border remains closed. NSW country people decide on other NSW country holiday locations to avoid Sydney, then meet up with Sydney siders escaping COVID in exactly those locations. Some of us have been lucky enough to emerge from drought and experience rain, then summer like conditions, then (like here), snow with a bitterly cold hiatus. The grass continued to grow even through the c...old snap and our mower blew a bearing - three weeks waiting for repairs to be completed and clover, never mind the grass, growing up as high as our knees before the mower got back to us (today). Also, due to the long dry period, there is an over-abundance of unwelcome weeds taking advantage of the wet, warm conditions - capeweed, sticky weed and a range of prickly stuff. Happenings at home and across the world seem to be unpredictable and contrary. So, what is the moral of the befuddled story?? Focus on now. Focus on the good stuff. Focus on what you can do to make things in your immediate environment a little bit better. Focus on giving and receiving love from those close and far away. Focus on your own health and well-being. Focus on your own development. I sat out in my lovely large garden and just looked around. The birds were going on about their business and filling the air with song. The kangaroos were sitting quietly in the shade of a large shrub, the trees and plants were getting on with what they do, gently rustling their leaves in the breeze, the bees were humming about in the blossoms of the trees around me, the dog was playing with a stick, all in complete ignorance of the trauma, turmoil, angst, hostility, power-mongering and frantic awfulness that is part of our current human experience. It was clear to me that the world does not need us, but we need this world. Let's behave as if we know this is true. Focussing on the positive aspects of our lives strengthens them. Focussing on the negative stuff strengthens it. Let's not succumb to focussing on the negative. Let the world, including our human brothers and sisters, benefit from our focus on the positive aspects of life and our ongoing commitment to continually increase the positive effect we have on our environment and the souls of all kinds who share our space. I just ask you ....... Love and light to all who took the time to read this (and to those who did not).

12.01.2022 Life is slowly getting busier again. We learned a lot during the lockdown period. It highlighted true priorities, made us realize that it is good to just "stop" every now and then, and for many it provided a time when we took time to think about our spiritual life. Don't let this soak away into a frantic busy life. Do your best to preserve those things you learned - about slowing down, taking time to be with loved ones and investing in your spiritual life. Plan quiet time. T...ake time to sit, just with yourself, in silence or with quiet meditation music. Get to know YOU. It will have a positive effect on all aspects of your life. 09.01.2022 The renovations are nearing the end and parts of the living spaces are beginning to look "normal". There are still things that may never be found again though!! COVID19 is beginning to wane - hopefully I am not being too optimistic - and we will be able to get back to workshop gatherings and meditation groups without fear of becoming unwell. I am working on training sessions for a beginners' development group, so once the renovations and the pandemic situations settle I will schedule dates and we will be off and into it. 04.01.2022 My latest creations for Mystic Mothers. I made some witches brooms with black tourmaline fans and eucalypt handles augmented by copper. Use these brooms to sweep away negative energy and environmental pollutants and neutralize your own negative thoughts and internal conflicts. They are also very grounding and can assist you to develop an empowered, confident approach when dealing with challenging circumstances. $15 each. My other recent creation is another scrying mirror, made from a plank of black hearted sassafras. It is a beautiful scrying mirror embedded in natural wood that calms the mind as the candle light makes the polished surface gently glow. $125
