20.01.2022 It's one thing to have an international luxury brand trust you with their fragrances, but it's even more special seeing the people who choose engraving to treat their loved ones for Valentine's Day. Some highlights from my three days hand engraving at Myer for Tiffany + Co: The man who bought a bottle for his wife from their dogs (with the dogs names engraved) because they'd promised each other they wouldn't buy each other a gift.... The young girl who watched me wide eyed as I engraved for her Mum, and excitedly stated that she wished she could do what I did and she couldn't wait to try when she grows up. Writing "I love you" in English, French and Serbian. The man who said he had three girlfriends and only bought one bottle . The quirky pet names people chose to make their significant other smile (my favourite - goose). The men who unashamedly asked for advice while nervously choosing a fragrance for their first Valentine's Day gift. The older woman who stopped to chat with me as I worked and told me how she loved calligraphy and seeing me had inspired her to practice again. So much gratitude to the people I met - I hope the engraved bottles helped show your love and made the receiver feel super special with a gift that's beautiful, thoughtful, personalised and long lasting

20.01.2022 How did you feel the last time you received a handwritten card or letter in the mail? Could you channel that feeling into writing something for someone else to experience? You don't even have to wait for an occasion - a simple hello, thinking of you, a recount of recent events or well wishes for the recipient would do the trick.... Tell me below - when was the last time you sent a handwritten card or letter?

19.01.2022 Yes, I will get in close and lean over you to give feedback, suggest adjustments and give examples in your workbook I walk around the table 754 times during a workshop (rough estimate ), and every time you all get better and better. I'll say it again and again, practice makes progress (not perfection!). If you don't like people in your personal space, maybe you can learn brush calligraphy from home, but if you want personalised feedback which you can im...plement straight away, come to one of my workshops!! 18.01.2022 When was the last time you took time out of your busy schedule to do something just for you? Learning calligraphy isn't just about having a pretty new skill, it's also a beautiful way to practice mindfulness. It allows you the time to slow down and encourages you to be present (it's quite hard to produce beautiful writing if you're not present!) 12.01.2022 Turning wedding vows into artwork This huge piece went off today to it's new home - ready to be framed to adorn the wall at the home of the husband and wife who spoke these words on their wedding day. All 400+ words! This was truly a labour of love in preparation, calculating lines and spacing, checking layout, style and spelling. All the preparation truly pays off when this is the end result. The sweetest vows being honoured in a beautiful display. Imagine being able to glance over and read a few words, remembering when they were said and the promises you made to each other. @ Perth, Western Australia

03.01.2022 Something I've realised over the past 2 years of hosting calligraphy workshops: People who want to learn calligraphy are beautiful souls To those who joined me yesterday: Kathy, Hannah, Loan, Lori, Lydia and Michelle - thank you for being amazing humans.... Not only do I get to teach calligraphy but I also get to spend time with such genuine, kind people. I adore the conversations, life experiences and tips that are shared in our time. I truly believe calligraphy facilitates these interactions. When you practice calligraphy, you're exercising your mind in being present, focusing only on the stroke that you're making, helping your nervous system to restore your body to a calm state. When you're calm, your mind is clearer, conversations come more naturally and you connect with those around you with ease. All this from calligraphy! Come for the calligraphy, stay for the conversations
