24.01.2022 Do you use a toner? Do you know why you should? You have a very important barrier on skin known as the acid mantle. It’s made up of oils and sweat that protect your skin from the elements - pollution, smoke, dirt, germs! This barrier is acidic in pH. When you cleanse your skin and rinse your cleanser off you disrupt the pH level and remove the barrier. A toner repairs the barrier and brings the pH back down to an acidic level. Often if you remove this barrier and don’t repla...ce it your skin freaks out and produces a lot of oil to build it back up and this can lead to blocked pores. This is why sometimes your skin can break out after a cleanse! We have 2 toners in store by @vee.pbathandbody for different skin types/needs. They are so pretty even before they have their labels on

The kindness, respect, patience and love you have shown the three of us in the last couple of weeks is truly what has gotten us up and out each day. We have had some super long days and going from very little human contact to all your beautiful faces has been a little hard. The cleansing oil pools in to your pores and removes dirt, grime and stale sebum (oil) that has been collected over the day. I think it’s really interesting when you stop and break down what something means to you and how it shows in your day to day interactions and choices. ... The reason I’m sharing this with you today is we have had so many new client enquire and I feel as though this is not something that people are used to feeling from their salon professionals. Most of you know me some as family, some as clients (extended family) and some just on our socials. No matter how you know me how deep our relationship goes or how many times we have been in the same room. There is something that doesn’t change. And that is me. My personality is exactly the same to my sister, staff and clients. Our topics of conversations change but I always aim to be the same. This is how I run my business, this is how my work family and I treat each other and communicate and this is how we treat our clients. The businesses that we work with are the same they come from humble beginnings they all started small and most of them are local, we have amazing support so naturally it flows through. If we are talking about your new hairstyle I assure you that if we don’t think something is a good fit for you to maintain at home or if we think we would not be able to achieve something with your hair in one sitting. You will know exactly that. When we recommend a product it is because we are speaking our truth and we only have your best interest at heart.
