They were made without eggs to last the long journey from homes to the trenches... and although they have been modified over the years to become a tasty treat, we can always be reminded why they came into existence just by their name. Today I bake these Anzac biscuits not only to remember how our soldiers fight for us, but to remember the families that care for the soldiers who returned or mourn those who didnt.
