10.01.2022 New company tax rate for 2016-2017 Financial Year. Designated "small business entities" with an aggregated annual turnover threshold of less than $2 million were eligible for a lower tax rate of 28.5%from 20152016. Since 1 July 2016, small business entities with aggregated annual turnover of less than $10 million have had a reduced company tax rate of 27.5%. From 2017-2018 Financial Year, the new rate will apply to all the companies that are Base Rate Entities.... A base rate entity is a company that: has an aggregated turnover less than the turnover threshold which is $25 million for the 201718 income year, and is carrying on a business.
