25.01.2022 This week is #NationalRecyclingWeek. We often take it for granted, but recycling is a core part of our lives. Not just in undertaking recycling as a form of waste disposal, but also as a way of claiming materials for use in products. At TOMRA, we believe waste is a resource. But there are other innovative ways we've seen recycling used: Lids for Kids - Bottle lids being turned into prosthetics for kids with disabilities Sustainable Salons - collecting hair to be used to soak up ocean oil spills Dresden Vision - using plastic to make glasses frames... Each of these organisations is using innovative ways to turn items that would otherwise be thrown away, into something that can benefit others.
