23.01.2022 Interesting study on the effects of biodegradable eco-glitter. It's important to choose products that can be recycled or repurposed to ensure we manage our waste responsibly. https://www.theguardian.com//eco-glitter-causes-same-damag

23.01.2022 We’re excited about the #containersforchangeWA scheme. We’ve brought FIVE modern Recycling Centres to Western Australia so you can get a 10c refund for your eligible containers. With locations in Osborne Park, Kelmscott, Myaree, Joondalup, and Belmont, we’re your local return point. Each recycling centre has 10 or more high speed reverse vending machines (RVMs) which are quick, accurate and easy to use, and allow you to get your 10c refund as a cash voucher, discount off your... shopping, or as a charity donation. Our modern Recycling Centres are world-class, making us the fast, family-friendly, and rewarding way to recycle. Our reverse vending machines can process up to 100 containers per minute, ensuring your returns are quick and easy. Our facilities are indoors and air-conditioned for your comfort, and we’re providing hand-wash stations, trolleys, and ample parking to guarantee your recycling experience is a highly rewarding one! 16.01.2022 Try our eligibility quiz! Check out our Facebook or Instagram stories, and test your knowledge on what containers are eligible to be returned through any TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine across NSW, QLD, WA, or NT.

15.01.2022 $100,000 in donations so far for Bottles Can Change Lives! That’s more than 1 Million drink containers donated. Thank you to everyone who donated to OzHarvest, Beyond Blue, and The Salvation Army Australia - your efforts are supporting members in our community who are doing it tough, many reaching out to these charities for the first time.

15.01.2022 #NationalRecyclingWeek - We mostly know of recycling as bottles being turned back into bottles and cans back into cans. But there are other innovative ways we've seen recycling used: Lids for Kids - Bottle lids being turned into prosthetics for kids with disabilities Sustainable Salons - collecting hair to be used to soak up ocean oil spills Dresden Vision - using plastic to make glasses frames... Each of these organisations is using innovative ways to turn items that would otherwise be thrown away, into something that can benefit others. We recommend checking them out, and how they contribute to the circular economy.

07.01.2022 Have you checked out the Journey of the Bottle yet? We often get the question, where is our recycling going? And this film looks to answer that question. Follow the journey of a plastic bottle as it gets returned through a Reverse Vending Machine and then recycled into a new drink bottle.

05.01.2022 With microplastics now found at both the top of Mount Everest and the bottom of the Mariana Trench, plastic is now at both the highest and lowest parts of the planet. We can prevent it from spreading further by recycling the plastics we do use. http://ow.ly/G8w650CsZ8L

05.01.2022 "Making that first step out for help is a big deal, particularly when you've been so self-sufficient for so long" Donations to the Salvation Army, big or small, will help Aussies doing it tough and help them manage their finances and regain a sense of self-worthiness and love. Go to bottlescanchangelives.org.au to find your nearest return point, and donate your bottles and cans to help Aussies in need. #bottlescanchangelives #containersforchange #Returnandearn The Salvation Army Australia

03.01.2022 This week is #NationalRecyclingWeek. We often take it for granted, but recycling is a core part of our lives. Not just in undertaking recycling as a form of waste disposal, but also as a way of claiming materials for use in products. At TOMRA, we believe waste is a resource. Check out this video of how recycling through a container deposit system can lead to Clean Loop Recycling - where bottles are turned back into bottles and cans back into cans.

03.01.2022 We always get excited when a state reveals more about an upcoming Container Deposit Scheme. Victoria's CDS, beginning in 2023, will be a split responsibility model, which means it will be easier for consumers to return their containers for recycling and ensure high return rates. This is a clear signal that the Victoria CDS will be world-class.

03.01.2022 How do you sort your recycling at home? Laura Wells has some helpful tips for splitting your waste, great for our new recyclers in WA!

03.01.2022 Ryan Buzzell, President of TOMRA Collection Solutions Australia, is participating in Take 3's CEO Clean Up in the Central Coast today. In just 45 minutes, they have collected over 100kg of litter! A great effort from everyone involved.

02.01.2022 Happy 3rd Birthday Return and Earn It's been 3 years since NSW introduced a CDS, and thanks to recyclers across the state, we've seen over 4.6 Billion containers returned in NSW. Thanks to your efforts, over 70% of all beverage containers now avoid the litter stream. Great job.

01.01.2022 Today is #RideToWork day, and whether you're out riding to your office, or just for fun, you may spot a bottle or can along the way. Pick it up, and ensure it gets recycled to keep it out of the litter stream and ensure it has a new life.

01.01.2022 Our Recycling Centres are so family friendly, even puppies are returning their containers. Meet Lina, the rescue greyhound, who decided to do her recycling at our return point in Osborne Park! #ContainersforchangeWA #Recycle #TOMRA Containers for Change WA
