25.01.2022 Personal branding is... This is my interpretation that forms the foundation of the work I do with my clients looking to define and refine their personal brand. I know there are many others out there who put their spin on it so feel free to take from this what you will - or not!... I believe it is important that you "leave your mark" with intention, care and most importantly authenticity (yes I know it is an overused word, but it really is important in this context!) I hope my definition helps to give you some clarity around how you want to "leave your mark".
16.01.2022 OUTFIT INSPO! My gorgeous client Liz rocking a never-fail combo of: White shirt + black pants + belt + sandal. A self-confessed jeans and tee gal, Liz really wanted to step up her style a little to feel a bit more grown up. ... By teaming the new pieces from the capsule collection we created recently with her existing black pants, she was able to completely reinvent her work casual style to feel a little more mature and sophisticated. To elevate this outfit a little, all Liz would need to do is swap in a pointed pump. Simple style done well always feels effortlessly stylish. Having a capsule wardrobe that allows you to mix and match your pieces allows you to tailor your outfit combinations to suit your day and how you want to feel. Bravo Liz!

Spotted these @karenwalker shades in @tiki.la.la by chance and it would have been rude to leave them behind - plus I love to support other small businesses!... I tried on a few others too so stay tuned for a post about choosing the best shades for your face. Enjoy your weekend
04.01.2022 Let's talk about personal branding and the value of effectively communicating what your personal brand is. I know there are many other out there who put their spin on it so feel free to take from this what you will - or not! The best way I like to explain "personal branding" is: "the essence of what you know professionally, what you believe/value morally, how you act and the way you treat others presented to world in a way that allows people to form an understanding of who y...ou are. It is for this reason that I believe it is important that you "leave your mark" with intention, care and most importantly authenticity (yes I know it is an overused word, but it really is important in this context!) Actively investing in our personal brand can feel confronting and uncomfortable because it requires us to level up - in our thinking, our habits, our actions and our interactions. The very act of deciding to book a styling session or personal branding photo shoot with me requires you to be unashamedly unwavering in what you stand for and commit to confidently communicating that in different ways and via different mediums including your personal style and your social media platforms. I have spoken before about the concept of "Be It Until You Become It" or as my friend @michbroadbent put it in a post yesterday to "Act As If". I believe part of building a strong personal brand that will attract others to us is embodying the feeling now of that higher vision you have for yourself and your business. A Styled Branding Shoot is an incredible way to make the vision of who and what you are becoming tangible. My role in this is to work with you to create the vision via my personal styling, personal branding and coaching services, but as I told a client this week, the next bit is up to you. Now you have to walk towards and into that vision. If it feels uncomfortable you are on the right track! Discomfort is where growth happens.
