15.01.2022 I'll admit that when I'm home alone I become super lazy about feeding myself, it's one of the (many) reasons I'm a huge fan of #intermittentfasting So I got really excited to find a groovy little egg cooker at Kmart recently which lets me cook them eggs-actly how I like them (medium) without destroying them! So easy and a really great way to get a good dose of delicious and healthy #pinksalt & #culturedbutter No need for cutlery either! Nom nom nom! #whoneedsbread #excusefingers #protein #realfood #pastured #eggs #saltygoodness

12.01.2022 Getting ready to serve this upon this! Mmmm #whoneedspasta #mywellnessjourney

11.01.2022 Great blog post on the effect of trauma on the cells.

04.01.2022 A trip to my local #organic farm Peninsula-Fresh Organics makes me hungry, must be breakfast time! Yes, yes, I know it's mid-afternoon, but one of the benefits of being fat-adapted is the ability to go much longer without having to feed my face & eating food that nourishes my body is supremely satisfying! I've been accidentally intermittent fasting for so long now, (way before it became a thing) that it's just become a natural way of life for me. Most days I only eat on...e meal a day, and if I ever eat two, it's more for the social aspect than to feed hunger. I still stick to whole, real food options. I eat a lot more #fat than the so-called "experts" would say is good for you, and it's mostly of the saturated variety, and I'm happy to say that I'm a shit-ton healthier than I ever was on the low-fat, carb-heavy #CRAP (Calorie Restriction As Primary-thanks @drjasonfung) way of eating I had been programmed to follow. Not only do the government and media promote this rubbish (prompted by money from big food, I'm sure) but even the curriculum that taught me to be a personal trainer over twenty years ago told me that I could eat sugar to my heart's content, because as long as I was active, it was my body's preferred fuel. That's like saying that Macca's is the preferred food for our body, because it's easy to access and requires little effort!! Hello drive-thru! I mean fuck! Really?! Sure, I lost weight following that plan, but at what cost? Eventually, my body shat itself and delivered some fabulous (not) inflammatory and autoimmune consequences, which thankfully are now managed by the far more sensible and frankly bloody much easier way of life (once you get past the sugar addiction) of #Primal eating. Seriously, I look back now and struggle to understand how we are still teaching this CRAP! Especially to our health and fitness practitioners that the general public look up to! Wow, this ended up being a fucking long rant didn't it? Anyway, eat real food, and enjoy the shit out of it when you do! Also don't be afraid of being hungry, you have a butt-load of energy stores to keep you going (literally), you just need to teach your body to tap into it. That takes time, so be patient See more
