21.01.2022 So after Threadripper V1's success the only way forth was two of them now with even faster RAM and a more powerful Motherboard for greater control ! Once completed one is off across the Pacific to Santiago !! 15.01.2022 The beast is back ! I think this is Gen 5 configuration for the Fractal Define XL. Swapped out the Workstation oriented Nvidia Quadro P2000 for a more mainstream MSI Nvidia 1060GTX 6gb model, despite being dual slot it's actually quieter. More importantly is the dedicated Intel RAID card running 5 Seagate Ironwolf 8TB drives. The white tubing is trying to hide the masses of sata cables coming out of it. The I7-8700K is still humming along at 5ghz even in this heat. Best of ...all it's still not making a noise ! #msi #fractaldesign #pcmasterrace

14.01.2022 And a few hours later we are on ! Spent more time in the BIOS setting the system up than it did to install Windows. Everything fired up great and temps are well under control thanks to the Kraken X72. Will settle it in with a 16 hour Prime Torture and have a crack at 4.2GHz tomorrow !... #msi #corsair #threadripper #nzxt

You can race round the Nurburgring Circuit in a P1 McLaren, or enjoy the simpler things just do burnouts and burnouts till the tyres give way. Or show your kids how or how not to drive !!... 10.01.2022 Overclock done ! 4.0GHz across 32 Cores. Temperatures are well under control with the NZXT Watercooler. Got some faster Ram and Fan connectors still to go but this ones already on duty solving DEM work !

10.01.2022 This guy came back to me today after almost 2 years. It's only problem was storing 4K content ! Hard Drive upgrade from 6TB to 12TB of Storage fixes that right up. 04.01.2022 So many Cores !! Little guy is packing a 2950X 16 Core Threadripper and 32gb of G.Skill 3200mhz Ram. Samsung 970 Pro M.2 and an X62 NZXT 280mm AIO Water Cooler tucked away in a Corsair Obsidian 450D case. The two big guys are known as B1 & B2 as there is no more powerful duo out there !! ... Both have the 2990WX 32 Core Threadripper and 64gb of G.Skill 3200mhz Ram. Samsung 970 Pro M.2 and the huge X72 NZXT 360mm AIO Water Cooler. To fit all that nicely the Corsair Obsidian 750D was chosen.
