18.01.2022 Last week we had one word that encompassed out theme for the practice ENJOYING. Enjoying our yoga practice, enjoying the world that we live in, enjoying God. Do we enjoy this amazing world? A world where water falls from the sky A world where ants build hills... A world where water melts, drips, freezes and make icicles A world with magnetic poles so that a compass always points north A world where a string sounds a note and then when you halve the strings length, it sounds the same note a perfect octave higher A world in which you can skim stones across the water A world of puns and rhymes and rhythm and alliteration - a world where words are fun A world in which music can make you cry. Exert taken from Enjoying God by Time Chester. This week I have chosen the word ENERGY. This week’s practice allows us to open up and create space for energy to flow in, we can eliminate what is holding us back. We leave our yoga practice energised and ready and strong.

17.01.2022 The bike is ready. I'm sort of ready! 1 week of riding Central nsw, up to 800km, staying in church halls, raising money to teach rural women in Pakistan to read. Promoting the bible society.

15.01.2022 Deepen your practice. Here is the guided meditation that we enjoyed in this week’s practices. We take about 20000 breaths per day. How we relate to those inhalations and exhalations is important in developing self-awareness. Sit quietly. Become aware of the flow of your breath. Notice the moment it moves into and out of your nostrils. Allow the breath to become smooth and even. (1 minute)... Let go of any effort. Feel your body receive the grace of inhalation and the release of exhalation. (2 minutes). As you inhale say out loud or mentally repeat sooooo. On the exhale say out loud or mentally repeat hummmmm. (Continue this for 2 to 5 minutes) Feel your breath, sound and attention become one. End the practice with an enquiry: What in my life expands my prana and sustains my vitality and joy? What can I release that blocks my capacity to experience vitality and joy? Where am I finding joy in my walk with God? What is hindering my walk with God?

08.01.2022 Going Deeper with Sun Salutations our theme for last weeks practice. Surya Namaskar means salute the sun and is a flowing sequence where we gracefully link movement to our breath. As we sweep the arms overhead to reach and open with gratitude to greet the sun, we can acknowledge the vastness of the universe. As we fold we bow to the earth. As we move between the earth and the heavens we can acknowledge all life in between. We can practice with thankfulness to the life giving energy of the solar system that sustains our life on earth. As we bring our hands into prayer position we gather the space and energy between and draw this back inwards into our hearts and into our breath.
