21.01.2022 Woody Update - After a two week break, due to soreness and getting saddle refitted, the big kid was ready to get back at it. Still taking it slow, Woody is super keen to please and eager to learn. Even if it does feel like trying to steer a semi trailer.

07.01.2022 Woody update! Remember the ex race horse N&K were retraining. Check out his progress. Over the last 8 weeks Nathan from N&K has been re-educating Woody the 7 year old, 17h Throughbred.... Having not been handled or ridden for over 12 months, we tried different techniques and soon realised that it would require us to go back to square one of basic desensitisation and handling to help with Woody’s trust and over sensitivity. Treating Woody as a clean slate meant we reintroduced everything from ... * Joining up * Hobble retraining * Desensitisation * Re mouthing * Girthing up * Mounting In conjunction with training alongside Woodys owners. This helped build a solid foundation of understanding and trust. Along the way Woody has had a visit from the dentist, chiro and Activo Med therapy to assist in his journey. No two horses are the same and not all training will require the same approach so at N&K our philosophy is that we will 100% tailor to your horse and it’s needs. 01.01.2022 N & K Horse & Livestock Services had a visit this week from @activomedtreatments -Kim Evans, who did an Activo Med treatment on these four very lucky boys, who were all sore for various reasons. All the boys appreciated the benefits of the pulsed electro magnetic field and massage treatment. We had four very relaxed and happy boys who would thoroughly recommend this treatment. Thank you to Kim for coming up here to do it. At N & K Horse and Livestock Services we make sure all... your horses needs are met while they are with us.
