14.01.2022 NSW Government providing over $6 million for our multicultural communities including migrants and temporary visa holders. Acting Minister for Multiculturalism Geoff Lee said its vital these people are given the urgent help they need.

13.01.2022 An additional 127 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 1,918. Confirmed cases: 1,918 Cases tested and e...xcluded: 94,534 There are 157 COVID-19 cases being treated in NSW, including 26 cases in our Intensive Care Units and, of those, 13 require ventilators at this stage. More than 50 per cent of the remainder of cases being treated by NSW Health are through Hospital in the Home services. There are currently 189 NSW cases from the Ruby Princess, 66 cases from the Ovation of the Seas, which docked 18 March and 26 cases from the Voyager of the Seas which docked on 18 March. There are two new cases in NSW, from the Celebrity Solstice, making it four total cases in NSW. On 29 March a team of one Doctor and four paramedics completed a boat to boat transfer a few miles off Botany Bay to transport three crew members requiring hospitalisation who are thought to have COVID-19. The crew have been transferred to RPA. Approximately 70 swabs from unwell crew members on the Voyager of the Seas have been tested for COVID-19. Four crew members have tested positive for COVID-19. NSW Health is working with the cruise line (Royal Caribbean) to ensure infection control, isolation of all crew, and care of unwell people aboard the ship. Tyndale Christian School in Blacktown has three cases of COVID-19 (2 students and a staff member). The school will close on 30 and 31 March for contact tracing and cleaning. A childcare worker at Rose of Sharon childcare centre and two confirmed cases in children who attend this centre have been diagnosed. All children have been isolated as close contacts. NSW Health is alerting passengers who were close contacts on flights to monitor for symptoms, and contact their GP, but call ahead first, or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19/Flu assessment clinic should they become unwell.
