24.01.2022 Fifty-five local and regional communities across Australia have been named as the inaugural recipients of the 2021 NAB Foundation $1.2 million Community Grants program. Projects include mental health and wellbeing funding for volunteer emergency first responders, rebuilding lost koala habitats and providing fire safety education for children, to help prepare people, businesses, communities and our environment for natural disasters, and support the long-term recovery and resilience work. 12.01.2022 Since announcing our Disaster Relief Fund a week ago, we’ve helped almost 700 customers with grants totalling over $1 million. NAB Home Loan Specialist Rhe is one of the bankers who has been working with the NAB Assist team to help impacted customers. I have been on the phone endlessly with members of the NAB Assist team more times this past week than I can even count. Each one of these guys has gone way beyond what was ever expected. They have taken the time to listen to th...e customers and their horrific stories, empathise with them and show them kindness in their time of need. To be able to end each conversation with an approval of the $2000 is beyond comprehension to these customers. To have their whole life swept away by the floods and most don’t have flood insurance this is beyond helpful to them. 09.01.2022 NAB has today announced that $2,000 grants are available immediately to customers and colleagues affected by Tropical Cyclone Seroja in Western Australia. Support now available for NAB customers directly impacted by the cyclone includes (eligibility criteria applies): Immediate access to $2,000 grants to help cover costs such as temporary accommodation, food and clothing. ... $2,000 business grants to help restart or reopen and cover the cost of damaged property, equipment, fencing and for loss of stock or livestock. NAB business and agribusiness customer wishing to access the grants should call NAB’s dedicated team on 1300 769 650. Support to restructure existing business banking facilities. Fee waiver on terminal rental for a period of up to three months for merchants with working terminals that are no longer able to trade. 03.01.2022 Congratulations to Melbourne’s Tyla Hanks, our 2021 NAB AFLW Rising Star. Growing up playing footy with her dad and brother in the rural community of Cora Lynn, Tyla’s pathway to the big time kicked off at Beaconsfield JFC before joining the NAB League with Gippsland Power where she was drafted with pick 6 in the 2018 AFLW draft. "I think it's really special, I'm sure I can speak on behalf of the girls in the room, when you look out at the crowd or even at local footy, there'...s so many girls out there playing and they're not ashamed, they're really proud. Tyla will receive a $20k portfolio and a NAB personal banker as part of her prize.
