25.01.2022 Happy Monday to all our Future Stars!! Many of you may have noticed there arent game times on-line for this Saturday as yet. We are working feverishly behind the scenes to ensure the divisions for the Under 12s and 14s are as balanced and competitive as we can.... Please be patient as it does take a little time to tweak the systems and complete all the changes we want to make, however our goal is by Tuesday pm. 25.01.2022 REGISTER NOW FOR A COACH THE COACH COURSE Many have asked so we have set up a coach the coach program over the next two weeks. This introductory coaching session will provide the base for coaching at the Future Stars level as far as coaching on game day & programming/execution of training plans. ... We will provide you with a resource kit to take home to help you on your coaching journey. If you are currently coaching or interested in starting this program is for you. Open to all ages 16+ Register now.

25.01.2022 Hi All, From this Friday our events including trainings and games will require Covid Marshalls - this will be in the form of our staff and staff from the Lights. They will be visible by hi vis vests or other clothing items that help to differentiate them from regular staff. COVID Marshals role is to take such reasonable actions to ensure that all staff, patrons and other people on-site comply with rules contained in the Covid Action plans, such as physical distancing,... capacity limits, infection control and hygiene rules. In relation to our competition and development programs COVID Marshals will ensure spacing of spectators and also that there is sufficient hand sanitiser and cleaning products are in stock and available, staff are aware of the appropriate cleaning procedures, and so forth. Please make sure you respect these people as they are only here to help and make sure we are legally able to run our program safely.

24.01.2022 Due to the announcement from the SA Government, FSL requests that we continue to adhere to a one parent/caregiver per child ratio as much as possible. If siblings must attend please have them seated whilst spectating with their caregiver where possible. We understand these rules may cause inconvenience for spectators, however we must continue to be COVID-19 safe and limit the number of people in the facility during peak program times. We thank our FSL community for your understanding and cooperation in keeping each other COVID-19 Safe.

23.01.2022 JUNIOR TRIALS UNDER 12 BOYS, 14 GIRLS & 23 MEN Thursday 17th December 2020 The Lights Community & Sports Centre, corner Hampstead Road & East Parkway, Lightsvi...ew Junior Trials for the U12 Boys, the U14 Girls & the U23 Men’s age groups will be held for the 2021 seasons. All current players are required to attend. Any new players wishing to try out are invited and welcome to come along. Trial details are as follows: Age Group. Year of Birth. Time Under 12 Boys. 2010 & 2011. 5.00pm 6.30pm Under 14 Girls. 2008 & 2009. 6.30pm 8pm Under 23 Men. 1999 to 2003. 8pm 9.30pm Due to Covid-19 we are asking that you arrive NO MORE than 10 minutes prior to your trial time for registration and that players leave promptly once their trials are completed. Spectators should remain outside of the court area and observe any social distancing guidelines in place at that time. 23.01.2022 CANCELLED GAMES 5/9 We have received notification from Modbury High School that the venue will be unavailable this weekend (5/9) due to asbestos removal on the site over the weekend. We have been scrambling to organise an alternate venue without success due to Covid restrictions all venues we have contacted are reluctantly declining booking requests we will rule the result of these games as a draw with each team receiving a point for the game. Thanks for your understanding... and issues please contact Derek or myself. The following games for this weekend will NOT go ahead due to venue cancellation for this week:

16.01.2022 Saturday games 29/7 Please ensure we are following COVID guidelines as far as social distancing and one spectator per player are concerned - all spectators/coaches and staff are expected to sign in at Modbury completing the form provided by the school if you are unable or unwilling to do so please wait outside to collect your participant following the game. 11.01.2022 COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AT OUR VENUES Just a friendly reminder that in almost all cases we have no control over the current COVID measures being put in place at our competition we are however legally obliged to follow them. As Modbury High School is a DECD (Department for Education) site and school first and foremost we are under even stricter restrictions using their school as a venue. ... If you are unable or unwilling to fill out the required form to enter the stadium as a spectator please do not take this out on our staff - they are following the guidelines given to them by us via the school and the Department for Education. If we are unable to follow these guidelines we risk losing our ability to use the venue. We appreciate that it is frustrating filling out the same paperwork each time you come to the venue however we are required to provide this paperwork to the school to abide by our terms of hire. 10.01.2022 MATCH FEES We are trialing a new system to replace tickets so we can reduce the risk of any potential transmission. Please make sure when you pay for your ticket you tell the cashier your team name and uniform number and they will mark you off as paid for the game. Officials will follow up match payments at half time of the match any unpaid players will be unable to participate until the match fee is paid. ... 07.01.2022 COVID Marshal As much as we love to have a bit of fun (and dress up in our hi-vis), we are taking the role of COVID Marshal very seriously. We love having everyone back in and playing/training with us again - and you bet were going to do everything in our power to make sure we keep you guys safe, and our doors open! ... All of our staff have completed their COVID Marshal training, and will be ensuring everyone is: - social distancing (this includes drinking coffees bought from the cafe - and we will be asking you to remain seated while drinking your coffee) - brings a drink bottle with them to train/play - wipes down all of their equipment after use - isnt training if theyre sick - is just overall contributing to a happy, healthy and safe environment for those around them Please make sure you cooperate, and listen to our staff if they make any requests of you! 06.01.2022 Zero Tolerance Bullying Just a reminder that we have a Zero Tolerance for Bullying within any of our programs this can occur between children during trainings or games and even from spectators to coaches or umpires. We have had a report this week of bullying occurring during a training session and we will be talking to the caregivers and children involved directly to make sure it is clear we will not tolerate this. In the instance where this occurs more than once we wi...ll take measures to ensure this behavior does not continue. Future Stars is a developmental environment where our players, coaches and officials should all be in a position to learn and develop their skills without the threats of bullying or pressure from those around them. We pride ourselves on being a fun and safe environment for all involved meaning our zero tolerance for bullying will mean we follow up on any instances we are made aware of. Please encourage your kids to be positive and supportive of others around them especially new players regardless of their ability and give them the same opportunity that they were given when they started. If you feel like you have seen or heard of an act of bullying please contact us so we can support you as we are only able to act when we are made aware of the situation. We are very proud to be one of the only competitions of our type to provide this kind of opportunity for our teams. We will fixture team photos to line up as closely with the game fixture as we can - sports in focus will email links to purchase photos to all participants so you can place your orders with them directly if you wish to.
