Support now available for NAB customers directly impacted by the cyclone includes (eligibility criteria applies): Immediate access to $2,000 grants to help cover costs such as temporary accommodation, food and clothing. ... $2,000 business grants to help restart or reopen and cover the cost of damaged property, equipment, fencing and for loss of stock or livestock. 12.01.2022 NAB has today announced it will provide an extension of home loan deferrals for up to an additional 4 months for customers affected by COVID-19. The recent increase in COVID-19 detection has brought additional uncertainty to many businesses, individuals and families. Many are doing it tough and banks play a critical role in providing support. To continue this support, NAB will provide the option to extend existing six-month loan deferrals for business and home loan customer...s affected by COVID-19, by up to four months ending no later than March 2021 on a case-by-case basis. The deferral has provided some much-needed relief, but we are encouraging customers who can begin repayments to do so as soon as they can. It is in the customers interest to repay debt sooner. Bankers will speak with customers about their individual circumstances. The option to extend a deferral period for up to four months will be assessed on an individual customer basis and will be considered only when the current deferral is expiring.

Over the course of today we have been working with authorities to assess the physical threat made against NAB branches, which resulted in the evacuation of our branches, business banking centres, as well as commercial sites where branches and business banking centres are co-located. The latest advice from State and Federal police is that the threat is not credible and ...has been deemed a hoax. We understand that this caused inconvenience to our customers and colleagues, however their safety and security is our absolute priority and that is why we took the action we did. 01.01.2022 NAB will waive late payment fees and reduce minimum monthly payments on all credit cards for at least the next three months as part of new measures supporting customers dealing with the impact of coronavirus. Other new support measures for customers include a 100bp cut to NABs lowest rate credit card. NAB will also reduce the minimum repayments on personal loans to $100 a month for up-to 6 months. The rate cut and fee waiver will be automatically applied to existing and new accounts from the effective dates listed further below, and do not require customers to contact NAB to activate. For customers seeking a reduction in the minimum monthly payment on their personal loans, on an opt-in basis from April 17, via nab.com.au/coronavirus.
